I was surprised how good the second one was given the change in style. Would like to see a third. -

Might be worth looking into.
28 Days Later was kick-ass.
But I HATED 28 Weeks Later.
Seriously, the sheer amount of stupidity on display was inexcusable.
My personal theory is that the complex was an Death Camp designed to wipe out the British people.
It explains their scientific approach (IE put her in a room with no guards or surveillance or monitoring of any kind) Their approach to quarantine(IE Put everyone in a room with no lights and weak doors). Their approach to a zombie out break(IE shoot everyone not wearing a uniform).
Most damningly it explains why the Army was shooting at the car. Despite no zombie displaying any form of driving ability. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

I also remember 28 Weeks as being particularly stupid with people doing a bunch of stupid things. I don't seem to recall any details thankfully. 28 Days was pretty good though so maybe the 3rd movie will rescue it. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

Must admit, the secnd movie was too "american" style for me to be able to fully like it. The helicoptor scene was just *******s.
About them shooting everyone on sight, I actullay fully understand that.
Hope the third film is ONLY director by Danny and noone else like the first.

28 Days Later was pure awesome, I have watched it a ridiculous amount of time and after seeing this thread I am going to have to watch it again.
28 Weeks Later was not so awesome, I have watched it twice and although I enjoyed it more the second time it didn't come anywhere close to the first. The tension, emotions and such just weren't there and I couldn't give a **** if they characters lived or died, unlike the first.
28 Months Later could go either way, I am hoping it will be near the level of awesomeness as the first but I wont keep my hopes up too much.

Edited by: Zions Child on 27/04/2010 02:06:38 I disliked 28 Weeks Later, wasn't half as good as the original. Plus, it completely lacked the OMFG CILLIAN MURPHY = FECKING HOT sex appeal. Although I will say the driving his thumbs into some guys eyes scene made him (slightly) less sexy, 28 days later was pure awesome sauce. Good zombie flick all around, not too preachy and actiony without being stupid about it.

Well, I'll be waiting for the third one to hit.
I tend to agree with most folk; the first one was brilliant and the second one lost something despite the bigger budget.
However, 28 weeks had something that 28 days didn't; zombies running through the streets of France at the end... I can't have been the only one punching the air and shouting "Get in!" at the end of it.
As long as we can get the Yanks in the third one I'll be happy.

While I loved the first 2/3 of 28 Days Later, the last third sucked- as soon as they met the army, it turned into utter tripe.
28 Weeks Later, on the other hand, had one of the most scary chases at the start- when Robert Carlyle was being chased by tens of zombies *sprinting* at him from two different directions. I enjoyed the rest of the film despite some plot holes more than the first.

There are no zombies in 28 Days Later. Also, it was pretty terrible tbh, the only good things in it were totally derivative.

Depends on how you define what a zombie is. Considering that there is the Voodoo zombie stories which have been around long before George Romero's films. I think the earliest known story of zombies was when a god was mad and was going to bring on the zombie apocalypse, then we have the Voodoo zombies, witchcraft and then we have the film adaptations consisting of crashed satellites and man-made viruses.

Would Jesus count as a zombie? Not the brain-eating kind, of course, but in the loose sense of something dead coming back to life?

Here we go again.
If it looks like a zombie, it sounds like a zombie, walks like a zombie, and turns you into one of its own if it bites you, what is it? That's right, it's a ****ing zombie. ____________________

Of course, why else would he be called Zombie Jesus? [i]2000 B.C. - "Here, eat this root." 1000 B.C. - "That root is heathen, say this prayer." 1850 A.D. - "That prayer is superstition, drink this potion." 1940 A.D. - "That potion is snake oil, sw |
