I'll be off for most or all of July, starting about now.
While I'm away I expect the following to occur:
The black market service will be deployed and should be fleshed out with more content.
Agent's should be usable now to drive a storyline, and I'd expect some major storyline events coming through them because of that.
Hopefully the message texts should be sorted out so that corps, race, bloodline, etc. have different missions and different messages, creating a better feel for the EVE corporate world and landscape.
Agent loot tables will be developed, although I'm not sure they'll be deployed, if not, it'll happen shortly after I come back.
Scenario based missions will be deployed, where you go to some interesting place, fight the locals, get stuff, etc. Good camping spots, f.ex.
Shortly after I come back, and all the dust is settled, I expect the following to occur:
Anything not already done from the list above.
The standing system will be given a major overhaul and become a driving force for the agent system. This will change how agents are acquired, what services are available, etc.
Info services will start appearing.
The locating service will be fixed up properly.
Player-vs-player and corp missions will start to appear.
Level 4 and 5 agents will be opened up for business.

Since you are likely gone now ;P - People who hurrayed blackmarket...WHAT is blackmarket? I know the definition, what does it mean in EVE. Does it mean that you can trade items not SCC allowed (what I always in beta THOUGHT lol was just that devs hadn't properly tagged the items till I saw it was most pirate stuff ;))

I'd guess the Black Market Trade will either be like the Courier Missions or perhaps an alternate trade screen with supply/demand.
There is also contraband too :)

I would have thought any blackmarket stuff would be illegal, but also alot more expensive.
Sounds interseting......

well I hope he has a nice vacation... but I am not happy that there is no stock market in place. The stock market was one of the MAJOr reasons I bought the game. Corp. power and hostile takeovers... not to mention wealth building. I'm more than disappointed that this well advertised aspect of the game is not in place and appears not to be in place until at least August... probably longer. =( My satasfaction level just dropped.

Maybe I'm jaded by the whole MMOG industry.
A dev team member takes a month long vacation less than 2 months into release with the game still a very basic shell of what it should and hopefully will be.
Cost cutting already? Say it isn't so!

Maybe I'm a bit jaded by the whole MMOG industry, but I can't help but think that a dev team member leaving for a month vacation with the game in its current state smells of cost cutting. =(
I really hope that is not the case.

Errr give the guy a break. I am on a multi million pound project, the largest in my company. I am working my balls off at the moment and you can bet your life after 1 month + half or two months of go live I have got a major holiday lined up!
Ever worked to major deadlines, you don't get chance for a break before hand.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but Black Market skill just gives you a bonus chance of not getting caught carrying illegal goods. Base chance of getting caught for all people is 60%. -10% bonus per level of Black Market skill...so at level 5, still a chance of having to pod a few cops ;) I dunno if you've ever had the police after you, but...um...they eat too many donuts and are pretty easy to either escape or destroy, so if Black Market skill is to have any value whatsoever, then "getting caught" will have to keep you from docking at stations to sell the contraband OR to have the contraband automatically removed if you are caught.
Just my 2 ISK worth of opinions.

6 weeks into retail is not the time for a 30 day break. I'm not saying that Papa doesn't deserve it. That is irrelevant.
However, it means that either CCP wants to cut a few thousand dollars out of next month's budget by putting him on leave, or they feel that the game is in a state where they can spare 150+ manhours of dev team time.
Either of those is problematic in my mind.

The black market goods were around in beta...many await their return. Some I have actually seen in agent missions (crystal egg). Stimstick, Crash, Blue Pill...ah...the good ole 70s. Anyway there are supposed to be "boosters" in Eve too. No, they cannot be used to my knowledge, though who knows what the future may bring :) Can't call them drugs because drugs are bad, m'kay?
