You say that like it's a bad thing.
I doubt I need to confirm my attendance. I would have thought it was implicit. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Edited by: Stitcher on 05/05/2010 19:33:14 Please, PLEASE do not bring those kinds of politics into a simple memorial. If you wish to question I-RED, do so when we aren't paying respect to the dead.
Tonight is a night for remembrance and homage, not confrontation. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Nothing I say here will be other than a repetition of what I have already said, but let me repeat nonetheless.
You are hypocrites. All of you. Every last Star Fraction pilot who showed up tonight is guilty of nothing short of the most appalling two-facedness.
With one hand you denounced the organizers of this memorial, claiming that they dishonoured the dead by affiliation. With the other hand, you opened fire on a ship that had undocked with peaceful intentions, killed its crew.
You violated a solemn occasion with bloodshed and murder, and you DARE to accuse anybody other than yourselves of spoiling the event? That goes beyond arrogance. You people aren't merely blind, ignorant and pompous. You are all of those vices and more rolled into one, distilled and blended until only pure thoughtless regard only for your own collective ego remains.
You didn't attend because you really care about slaves and slavery. If that were your goal, there are battlefields and forums across New Eden that would have been a better site for your attentions, and better targets for your ire than I-RED. You chose the memorial for the simple, cynical reason that you knew it would have the biggest media profile.
I have no words strong enough. I can't write down the sheer raging strength of the disgust I feel tonight. You ****ed on six hundred thousand graves tonight, and then accused the mourners of not looking after the headstones properly.
You all deserve to burn for this. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Originally by: Aphoxema G War had been actively declared and both sides knew this perfectly well. There was no way to know the intent of the captain because the captain had failed to communicate the intent of undocking.
Oh had he...?
Allow me to quote from the local channel logs:
Quote: [ 2010.05.05 20:27:27 ] John Revenent > Now I am undocking alone to speak with you Miss Constantine.
Looks like a bloody communication of intent to me. go review the logs yourself if for some reason you disbelieve me. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Just Hakatain, please. The Tarn family were spiritually disowned by the Hakatains a while back and I no longer bear that name. Technically, to call me Tarn-Hakatain is an insult, but I'm not the type to get offended by an honest mistake. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

Originally by: BloodBird I'm sorry that I'm not telling you this in private Verin, but right now private coms with you or anyone is beyond my ability. I believe I told you once before about how absurd I find that entire issue of dis-owning your kin just like so. However, because it seems to bother you, I'll stop referring to you as Tarn, from now on. That was not a mistake, just so you know.
This is a matter of deep religious significance for me, Alex. I don't give a damn if you think it's absurd or not, this is my faith and spirituality we're talking about here. You wouldn't describe a Reborn Intaki as "absurd", please do not describe my own beliefs as such. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |

You know, the two of you should form a club of some sort. Build a makeshift cabin out of some scrap metal in a hangar as a secret hideout, and sit around telling fairy tales and ghost stories and playing make-believe games.
