The worst part is that now the client doesn't realize it's disconnected.
For example, I'll warp to an anomaly and get disconnected mid warp... but the client thinks I've warped to an empty spot in space. The warp completes and I'm like wtf where are the rats. Start activating modules and they cycle but nothing happens, and try to warp to something but nothing happens.
This lasts for a good 5 minutes before the client finally realizes the connection is dead
Anyone else getting this?

So you eschew all rational troubleshooting and immediately declare it's CCP's fault?

I like this idea. Can we also cite the hotfix as the reason why missiles fired at rats cause explosions on ships besides the intended target?

Correlation != causation. You're stating that CCP broke the game for you, and then you ask if anyone else experienced a problem. Perhaps they're annoyed at how you're jumping to conclusions here?

This has happened a bunch of times to me over the years and yup, it's happened to me a few times over the last few weeks (not related to the hotfix) and yup, it can be annoying. If I think it's happened, I open the wallet and if the amount stays at 0 I just relog, as I know it's crashed.
Sorry to hear CCP broke your game, though. They keep making mine better.

So you've eliminated your router, your ISP, any intermediate hops between you and the server, high network traffic, driver issues, Windows updates, and just-plain-bad-luck?
You've done all that, been able to reproduce it reliably (obviously, or else you wouldn't assume it's CCP's update), and instead of filing a bug report you've come to GD to ***** and moan.
Got it.

Wow, my computer is in a time-warp, then, because it's been doing that for weeks. I get it every once in a while, most often in missions. Seems the hotfix has the ability to affect things before it was installed...

You obviously never worked in tech support. Your company and their products (no matter what they are) are ALWAYS to blame from anything from the sniffles to the zombie apocalypse. That's just how things work ! Don't you know the customer is always right, especially when he isn't ?

This happend to me while I was out in my Manticore, cloaked.
I was 200km off from a Dome and hulk minng, but the mining drones lasers stabbed the 200km on to me.
Just a graphical glitch, sine it was fine for the Domi and Hulk, but very annoying for me.
I bug reported it. --- "And thus, another of the world's dreamers died, taking his dreams with him. Just as John Lennon wanted world peace, Gerald Bull simply wanted a gun big enough to fire **** into space." |

The client doesn't handle disconnects well. There have been times for me, though not many, that the client has disconnected only to sit there appearing to still be connected that usually lasts a "good 5 minutes". That's not a faulty client. That's a ridiculous timeout variable set in the client.
Since you've provided no furth information regarding this issue I'll assume you don't know what to do.
Do the following while playing the game in windowed mode.
1) open a cmd prompt (press windows key + R, type cmd, press enter. In the black box type "ping 87.237.38.200 -t" without the quotes, leave that running. This is CCP's server - Tranquility, the one you play Eve on.
2) open a second cmd prompt as above this time "ping www.google.com"
3) Open a third cmd prompt, type ipconfig /all write down the default gateway ip address, ping it too "ping <the ip address you wrote> -t". If you're using a router, this is probably your router. If not, it's probably either your cable modem or the first router of your isp on your end.
4) Find the first hop beyond your default gateway. Open a cmd prompt, type "tracert 87.237.38.200". The first hop beyond your default gateway should be one of your isp's routers. Write down that address and ping it too "ping <that ip address> -t". And after the tracert finished note any unusually large times between you and tranquility. Anything that stands out from the others means a slow router between you and tranquility.
Now, leave all those pinging cmd prompts running while you play. If you're noticing anything other than replies to your pings this means your packets aren't reaching the destination or the destination's packets aren't reaching you. You can end those pings by pressing control+c. When you do that it will report your percentage of packet loss. Anything above 2% typically means there's an issue somewhere or just a crappy service. Larger percentages, say >5% may indicate an accute problem, call your isp if it's your default gateway or the first hop beyond the default gateway. If it's the default gateway it's probably your issue. If it's the first hop, it's probably your isp's issue. If it's google, then it's google's problem or your isp's problem or somebody else's problem. If it's tranquility then it's either CCP's problem, your isp's problem or somebody else's problem. If you have a sharp eye running tracert on each of those addresses you pinged may help you determine whose problem it is. Goodluck.
