Ninja Salvaging is essentially scanning down mission runners, going into their missions, stealing the wrecks from ships they killed and profiting from it.
I like doing that.

I like the cheap rigs that all this salvage that most mission runners never bother to collect allows. Seriously, back when I was ninja salvaging the vast majority of mission runners just leave everything there and go on to the next mission. It got to the point I needed to quickly get alts in each room before the mission was turned in so I wouldn't lose any.

So what is wrong with salvaging wrecks that most mission runners simply abandon? Rigs would be much more exspensive without the constant supply that the salvager profession brings in. If we relied only on the mission runners to supply the salvage even crap t1 small rigs would be in the millions.

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally invite ninja salvagers into my fleet so they can use tractor beams and enjoy some idle chatter. TOo bad I see so few of them

Actually that is the very definition of ninjaing something in a game. I believe the term started in everquest when some random player would dart in and nab your mob drop before you could get to it and had nothing at all to do with stealth.

TBQH, I think that most mission running alliances/corps would benefit from having a salvager corp tackling on to them. I mean, there are few to nil missions most mission runners salvage/loot, and while salvaging does not have a high income rate, being handed field after field of juicy wrecks is a nice thing if you happen to play a vacuum cleaner.

i respect all these people that collect the trash from the space but what i dont like is stealing cos that can lead to shooty shooty and sometimes tears lol but salvaging is fine imo lol

I don't care about salvaging anymore, its too boring and it gives me poor returns. In the time I salvage and loot, I would have done 1 or 2 missions. If a ninja salvager wants my salvage I'll abandon the wrecks for him.
I think everyone should stop salvaging so rig prices would sky rocket up, then with controlled selling, profit can be maximized.
Things were profitable before multi-sized rigs appeared.
Now loot drops will be nerfed in Tyrannis and there will be a new planetary interaction that will lower the value of isk even more.

Never understood all the hate for ninja salvagers. I've had a few warp in when I've done missions, but I never really cared. I never bothered with loot/salvage anyways so I'd just give them a wave and keep on shooting rats.
Better someone gets a use out of the wrecks than it all going to waste. Besides, all the cheap salvage means cheap rigs when it gets to yarr time.

i openly welcome ninja salvagers into my missions, i cant be bothered with the debris myself.. since im standings and sec whoring.
