Edited by: LUKE0THE0DUKE on 01/05/2010 05:23:32 quote from CSM canaidate
They can petition some GMs and explain before the court why they killed some innocents and pay reparations to the victims. Otherwise they can rot in lowsec where murderous vermin belongs.
I think it's time for some real CONSEQUENCE for criminal behaviour. Jailtime, statloss, no insurance, whatever it takes to stomp out this antisocial behaviour. They can do what they want in 0.0, but don't expect us to pay for their bull in Empire space! -------------------------------------------------------------- I just got to say OMG! Really?
I get to go to sleep with a smile on my face knowing someone just beat their dog after I pod killed them. Please dont take that away from me. Dont vote for this WOW player. PLEASE VOTE THIS YEAR!!

If she wins a CSM spot, I sure hope I get one too. It seems like the things i do set her off in a rage. she was ****ting up my campaign thread a little while ago about how me and my term limits issue was ruining the csm, while she ran for her 3rd term. her own campaign thread is an absolute circus, and would be a lot bigger if you included deleted posts(all my posts in there were deleted)

Fortunately CCP has the players stats and realizes that the vast majority of highsec carebears are alts of PvPers. Killing off the highsec gank will likely loose them about half of their player base.

yeah, CCP will not cave to demands such as nerfing highsec lvl4s for this reason. they represent far too many subscribers. Nerfing highsec lvl4s will have to be done indirectly by increasing the income everywhere else.
I think that any pro-pirate candidate will have to be very much pro-carebear as well, for the sake of ensuring lots of targets. Personally, I'm going to be pushing for putting the ABC ores and battleship rats into lowsec, and adding more 0.0 entrances, it should be a simple enough few changes that will revitalize lowsec with residents and passers-by who are serious about being there, not a random newbie that wandered too far or something like that.

I remember the first time I saw Ankmagdsgsdgmkah spamming local in mission hub with her "Take Care" crap. I thought: "Theres no way this moron could get on the CSM". Wrong.
I do like the part (can't reember if it was in her thread or her troll of mazz's thread) where she brags about being a game designer and designing an economy for a children's MMO based on "Galactik Football".
She also wants CSM members to have to pay for thier own plane tickets to Iceland. That way only the most desperate serious business ***gots would dream of going.

Pretty much this. While I would never condone voting for cat as I hate cat.. At least cat isn't completely intent on gutting any form of conflict in the game.
If I wanted to attack only people that wanted to attack back then I would play one of the other million MMOs that have an arena for PvP. Its much easier to find fights that way. But I didn't, I chose eve. The game where if you aren't paying attention and **** up, someone kills you and takes your stuff.

I know there is a lot of hate towards Cat but he is getting my votes this year. I read Cat's CSM thread he said exactly what I wanted to hear. And although he is annoying as hell (but funny imo) on the forums, he seems to be more down to earth than most when he is being serious. Never thought I would say this but I actually like Cat and think that he would be a good addition to the CSM. I'll collect my things from the C&P channel and leave quietly.

I voted Cat 2x last time he ran, mostly since I didn't like any of the serious candidates. I would this time too but there's actually some decent people running this time around so I'll have to ~spread the love~ which means he'll have to settle for my alt's vote

I'm pretty much voting for Mynx, mostly because she seems like a good, reasonable candidate... I won't vote for Cat, but that's only because I couldn't stand it if Asdfghjkl;' got into the CSM, and I think the less savory population of EVE needs to consolidate its votes....
I recently came back to the game, and did my first suicide gank a few days ago. All I can say is, I love watchin hulks blow up... And if Asdfgfhjkl;' wants to take away my new found past-time, well, I'll fight to the death to keep it...

I really can't decide between Mynxee (for the anti-Ankhwernae vote) or Cat. Mynxee has to get in, but I would like to see Cat as well. I think I'll end up voting for whoever has the smaller chance to get in (probably Cat) and thus needs the vote more.

Any early/mid-level poli-sci or political theory class will tell you that is a terrible mistake. Voting for the underdog is a quick way to throw away your vote. I'm not saying don't do it, of course. Only that the risk is there that you may cost two people their seats rather than just one.
Of course, perhaps they both get in. Who can know?

I really wish you could use your vote against csm candidates, Ankh has a severe case of tunnel vision while being a stubborn carebear who refuses to try any other parts of the game. I hope, for the future of eve and the CSM that she doesn't get elected. But then again with the recruitment/vote for me spam they do all over eve I dread the worst. ---

It's a shame this type of thinking is in Eve stinking up our universe. It is, and always has been a pvp oriented game. Then the bears come along eating the berries and fruit of the forest and stink up the forest with their filth. PvP'ers interact within the game compared to the boring crap like her and so many others do like sitting in a belt or mission alone. And she calls us anti-social. pfft...
I say CSM should be of PvP'ers only. Never should a carebear sit on the Council. Nevar!

You can't have a go at Ank, just because you disagree (aka despise) their views. It's a matter of personal preference, and that's what the CSM is really about - everyone pushing forward their own views of the game. I mean I'm doing the same with my view that neutral rr ships should get the standard can't dock/jump timer, and the person that convinces me the most that they will get this changed is the person that will get my votes.
The real danger is the "Take Care" initiative. Not because of the views they have, per se, but because of their organisation. Seriously guys go to their website and look at the vast amount of proposals that they have had pushed through. They have a huge support network of people pushing ideas through, and are going to the CSM councils with fully fledged proposals. They are highly organised and that means that they get things changed.
Now I'm not one to push politics (I started a merc corp after 6 months in a fail alliance to get away from politics), but if people with opposing views to you are more organised and more effective then it doesn't matter what your ideas are they will not be taken as seriously. That is why I was giving Mynxee a bit of a hard time in her thread - it's one thing to say that you want to do something and other to actually have the passion and organisation to get it done. Don't vote for people who just say "I will deliver your ideas / be your voice" because these guys won't have the drive to get an issue changed. The "Take Care" initiative is a political party with a firm agenda and enough backing to not need any of our votes. The only way to fight them is to be just as orgaised - and that means being organised enough to come up with counter-proposals for all of their ideas.
CSM candidates interested in lowsec rejuvenation should work together and get real support from others interested in helping behind the scenes. Maybe a "Get the Pod" initiative?

Most of the people in here should be voting for Ankhasawhatever.
All you pirates/wannabee pies/can thieves/suiciders/ pirate toilet cleaners(aka `ninja` salvagers)
You all go on about how its all about the tears ?
Voting for Ankhasawatever is the vote that will harvest you the most tears.
The fact that the tears are tears of your peers should not matter , for tears are tears and it is tears that you claim to play for.

Yea, he popped her, got room agrro, was pointed by a few frigs, didn't have time to shake them off. Quite a lot of people from a lot of corps already sent him ISK to buy himself a new one. Seems we are not the only ones who seriously dislike the ... 1 unit of "exotic dancer". _______________________ We come for our people! |

Yeah..taking aggro from "World's Collide" sucked a bit especially when one does not have npcering stuff on OV. Tunnel vision while trying to nab the pod.
On the plus side..naming new Pilgrim "Ankh's Soiled Panty" has brought a few chuckles in local already during those rare time when I decloak
