Edited by: Christ0s on 02/05/2010 09:45:35 It's too much, it hurts. My household refuses to turn on central air for some reason.
Everything is sticky and the air is heavy. How did people actually live like this back in old times? I'm in southern Ontario and the heat is killing me, anyone else have a similar situation?

27?
well, unless it's with like 100% humidity, then you're a ****ing lightweight.
27¦C is like mid-spring or a cool summer breeze here in my country ---

Luckily it's not raining here although it's bloody cold, my central heating is ****ed so it leaks like a tap when on and my gas fire seems to have some sort of blockage so goes back off after a minute or so. Tempted to go to pub just to be warm.

Same thing over here on the other side of the North Sea (The Netherlands), been raining for almost 3 days in a row. We're not going to have another typical northwestern European summer again, are we?
Although I have to say, we've had so little rain recently that last week we had a few small 'forest' fires.

I said I don't like the heat
but I did work in a kitchen, usually 100(38C)+ in the summer. endless buckets of icewater helped.

Bleh, Panama is usually over 80%-90% humidity and around 26-30C every day. When it rains it refreshes a bit, but when it stops jungle climate is more likely to describe it.
I absolutely have a no A/C policy to try to bring the power bill down.
Why don't you just open the windows and stroll around the house nekkid or wearing boxers? I also just splash myself occasionally with water, also avoid high carb meals.

blarge, I'm too used to the British weather. Currently in Southern China and it's touching 30C with 80-90% humidity, and when it rains, it's all warm and uncomfortable. Oh how I miss a nice cold rainy day in the UK lol

yeah you have me beat easily i sit inside in my ac'd house (to around 27ish c, 80ish f), but that doesnt stop it from being humid as hell still.
when it gets below 40f (single digits c?) or so i start freezing. I dont have any clothes for sub-freezing temperatures..

I remember a few months ago a thread about the mid Atlantic US getting slammed with snow and a bunch of snow bunnies telling us to quit our sob stories.
The heat has yet to begin.

Ontario? that's Canada right? come down to Texas for the summer, and enjoy 100*F+ weather. or go to Arizona, it is LITERALLY a desert. (and a dry heat is still a heat.)

If you eat Pasta with sausages, and garlic bread, like I have done, in a country where there¦s 80 to 90% humidity and its usually 30C ... you will really feel the calories being used up in your body after you eat ---
