Fellow pilots of EVE!
The moment that I post this is one of the sadest moments in the past 6.5 years of my life.
I am going to leave EVE.
When I started to play in November 2003 I could not even have imagined that there was any game that could fascinate and occupy my for anywhere close to this period of time. Well I forgot that a game like EVE is 80% made up of its community.
I the meantime I have finished my studies, passed the magic 30 and have picked up and discarded loads of other MMORPGs.
Today I am here to thank the people who made the last 6.5 years so great, so busy and so fulfilling. I had the honor of meeting people from all over the world online and in real life that I have got to know, decided to like and became friends with.
I want to thank the people in PIE Inc. for picking me up when I was almost quitting the game again as I did not seem to master that notorious learning curve. For showing me that fellow pilots in EVE are not just names in local channel but real people who you can laugh, cry and drink with. I also want to thank you for showing me the light of Amarr and giving me war with the Minmatar.
I want to thank all the pilots in Oracle, TPFOM and their fellow terrorists ermà freedom fighters who formed Ushra Khan to give me many fights and great times! I remember being drunk and undocking 5 unfitted and uninsured apocs into your gang in Amarr back in august 2004 and I remember when I came to Teonosude drunk and you guys not only refused to fight me but escorted me back to Amarr. No matter what differences we had IC and OOC there will always be a spot for you guys in my heart!
I also want to thank Verone and his bunch of pirates for many a good hour in their in game IC channels as well as some drinks at FF08!
I want to thank Star Fraction and the spin doctors Jade Constantine and The Cosmopolite for making me cry on the forums because I just could not argue with you due to lack of English skills.
My love goes to Revan Neferis for adding to the RP scene with her constant stories and plots and being a delightful refreshment from the usual block vs. block walls of text.
To all my fellow pilots in CVA I want to say thank you for your support, your friendship and generally for bearing with a crazy guy like me! I will keep on haunting you on the forums though and organize another BBQ (strippers included ;) )!
Thank you to all the people who joined us in Austria for the "1st (and last) official austrian EVE gathering" in 2004 although i doubt there are many left playing.
Last but not least I want to thank CCP and all the people who work and life for EVE. You made not only a game but a universe. A rich and unique sandbox to play a game and meet people and to develop yourself in. I will keep on reading the chronicles as I absolutely love those! Keep up the good work!

It is always sad to see a fellow capsuleer leave New Eden, but I guess nothing lasts forever. I have only played for 1.5 years and will for a good time to come... Good to see you got something positive out of the time in EVE. All the best.

See ya around. You know, CVA could very well evolve into another roll playing alliance and retake part of providence once day. Food for thought, keep your sub active and just train random junk for a year or two. You will emerge happy that do did a year or two down the road.
