Well, I got myself a Cormorant last night, and it's a monster against frigates. (As it's designed to be.) For my test run last night against a hapless rat in a 0.8 belt, this was my setup:
1x 150mm Rail 5x 125mm Rail 1x 75mm Carbide Rail 1x Standard launcher
Now, I'm still training some skills so I don't want to get in to mid and low slots yet, but I was thinking for the high slots, doing something along these lines:
3x 150mm Rail 2x 125mm Rail 2x 75mm Carbide Rails 1x Launcher
Now, with my testing with Iron ammo, I found that the 150 would start hitting about 27km out...those would be good for an opening barrage. The 125s really kick in about 12-15km out, so add that to the 150s and you're cooking along. If anyone gets close enough, the 75s with Uranium should handle them with ease, and if anything sits at 7-9k, the 75s will help add damage if loaded with other ammo. The launcher, of course, is for making things go boom.
I'll probably use any mixture of charges and of course Bloodclaws in the launcher.
Any suggestions or thoughts? --------------------------------------------------

Imho u should get your optimals together.. currently your firepower is spread out too much across all ranges, meaning u are weak along all ranges, instead of very strong in one range.
I think u would do best to go for all long range guns (150's or 125's) and get a microwarpdrive in there so u can control range at all times and focus your firepower. ---------------------

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I do a lot of Agent running, and I plan on doing PvP in the future, so I'll keep those tips in mind. --------------------------------------------------

Sorry, I'm not familiar with what "Protos" are? Are they named Rails? --------------------------------------------------

Well, with the -25% cap usage to small hybrids, yep. My complete loadout is:
High Slots 1x 150mm rail 5x 125mm rail 1x 75mm Carbide rail 1x Standard launcher
Mid Slots 1x Small Shield Booster 1 1x Magnetic Scattering Amplifier 1x Small Shield Extender 1
Low Slots 1x Reinforced Bulkheads 1
I still have 1 mid slot left over, too.
EDIT: Exact module names added. --------------------------------------------------

I fail the see the reason to use that... After all, if you're down to structure, you should be warping out already. Damage mod or nanofiber/overdrive might be a better choice.

Yeah, this was just a test setup with stuff I had laying around my hangar. The full setup I was planning was:
2x 150mm rails 5x 125mm rails 1x Standard launcher (Or Rocket launcher w/ Defenders if they get fixed)
1x Shield Extender 1 1x Shield Booster 1 1x Ballistic Deflection Shield 1 1x 1mn Afterburner 1
1x Gauss Field Balancer
I have some training to do before I can really fit it this way, but that's why I'm flying a Kessie in the meantime. --------------------------------------------------

How would you modify the set up to take on a Rogue Drone Complex . I was in a 3/10 complex and in the 4th "room" was surrounded by 20+ heavy drones, which after I killed 2 were within 2km. Are smart bombs the answer ?

Thats an interesting setup, not sure what you are fightin though. I have something different as far as a t2 setup goes which might take yours out pretty quickly.
7 x 125mm IIs 1 x standard/rocket launcher (depends which one fits)
1 x 1mn MWD II 1 x Named Webber 1 x Warp Disrupter 1 x (switching between Cap Recharger II or Sensor Booster II)
1 x MAPC
(ammo to use is up to you)
