What I'm talking about is the normal ratting in belts. And I'm not talking about T3 ships.
So I found out that the Ishtar with T2 Sentries is a nice toy to hunt Guristas. Being bored as I'm most of the time, I was wondering what are the "best" ships to hunt the following rats? Remember, no T3 ships, no caps and as many kills in a short amount of time as possible!
Angels, Serpentis, Sanshas and Bloods.
What's your fav. toy to hunt them. Btw. it's not needed to post fittings. Of course you can if you like to.

As a rule, the ships belonging to the race that has the respective rat as "natural enemy" are the best suited for killing said rats.
Angels: Minmatar Ships Serpentis: Gallente ships (talking about hybrids, since drone ones can change damage type to match all the rats' weakness" Sanshas and Bloods: Amarr Ships
The size of ship is determined of where you will be hunting them, for high and lowsec, cruiser would be enough, for 0.0 BC and BS, HAC or T3

Any carrier should do the job just dandy. I personally like the Archon. ====== Your signature is freakishly huge for this forum. Please resize according to the forum rules, thanks. Shadow. |

Well the Raven breaks all the "rules" and kills everything handily is a fairly disposable ship.

Drake good option as well. Missile skill 4, BC 4 on the drake...don't even need to think about ammo, scourge it. Against serp rats, thing of beauty at a less than 60 mil price tag. Not a speedy level 4 runner but workable if cheap. Tanks nice and passive so not relying on drones to kill neut bots ASAP. Very nice ship in belts...made me tons of money in several areas of null sec. Nighthawk carry on even better as I understand it.

i prefer a Domi with dps-setup/no tank needed since you will be at range with t2 sentry drones and will only have bit of shield damage. You can insta-pop frigs and cruisers at a range of 120km...bs's take bit longer to kill but they never come closer than 90km.
feel free to test it but high skills needed in drones. i have lvl5 on everything for drones. Awesoem damage dealin that is !!!

The drake is very nice. I make about 30mil an hour ratting with a drake with my pathetic skills. ===
I wonder if this is a bannable offense... |

Vagabond for Sansha due to high EM shield resists and EM dmg type required. Blood is the same as sansha iirc.

Unless something changed, the Drake only has a damage bonus to kinetic missiles, correct? It seems to me that limits its usefulness for hunting non-kinetic weak NPCs, and that other racial ships would do better in that area.
The Raven is just fine for killing anything, however.

This is the best answer, really.
The game is setup in such a way that any ship will do the job when you fit it to the job. Most of the time all you need is to switch ammunition and resistance modules, and you are ready to go.

With a very few exceptions (Driving a Wedge L3 part 2 for an example) the kinetic bonus has sufficient effect even vs kin-resistant rats such that carrying around 3 more ammo types isn't worth the hassle.
