I'm sorry, but news that is a week old, is not news. ISD are the worst news reporters ever. Not only has there been times of some of the facts being wrong, but reporting major stories well after they are history is just pathetic.
ISD, why does it take you so long to report a story?

The approval process of a story is extensive and time-consuming. Any edits that need doing compound that greatly.

True and I think people can generally understand that it can take time to make a factual and mostly accurate article on a situation or event but they seem to have a habit of getting facts wrong. And just look at the Sylph article, that was beyond being late, and the article was a complete pile of crap with little content that was factual.

Some (most?) people don't read the forums. So it is still news to them? If you can write it up faster, you should lend your skills to ISD.

and yet, even local newspapers are capable of having an entire newspaper full of stories approved, fomatted and edited on a daily basis, and usually at least half of that news is less that 24 hours old. im not saying the isd should be able ot do the same, but one would think that the few articles they do publish could be done in a resaonable frame of time and not days or even weeks after the events of the article have occured.
and yes i do know they are only volunteers, but that isnt an excuse for being lazy/slow or not checking all the facts
