Was looking for a new MMORPG game to play and read this story http://static.circa1984.com/the-big-scam.html
decided to give the 14 day trial a try and have been playing ever since.

Had been playing Planetside for 7 months and was pretty bored because i had reached the highest level there.
Saw a cd-rom on a magazine with a 10 day trial and thought i'll give it a try.
Somehow i messed up on the registration and got a full month subscription.
This was on the 27th of january this year, and to make a long story short.
I'm still here

long ago like in July of 2003 i saw a article in 1 of the game magazens it was eather PC GAMER or ELECTRONIC GAMING MONTHLY anu way i saw a tiny article and a picture of it and so i thought i was cool so i pre ordered eve cause it dident come in the stors yet at the USA and then i finnaly got it on Augest 3rd 2003 and but i was on vacation at vignia at bush gardens so when i got home on Augest 6th 2003 i installed it and played it
Caldari will once again rise above the gallente and take back Caldari prime!

I was warping around in Mars when the news of EnB going down hit like a big nuclear bomb.
Being the Jenquai Explorer I was I souped up my reactor to the max and then some, hit the wormhole switch and found myself in Kisogo.
Since everything was new I just hopped on an Ibis and started learning again.
Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

typed something about it in net search and found Eve site during beta, and nearly passed out of joy:)

Small article in PCGamer. Sounded like an interesting universe...so I read the site, became obsessed. This was back in beta. |

I'm a member of SGN (www.sgnonline.com/vb) one of the admins is a Memeber of a CA corp (at the time it was Endless) the thread someone had started had got everyones attention picked up like 450 post or so and about 6 or 7 of us joined EVE at that point. though we all took different paths. Nearly left till Grimmicus happend by me in a 'roid field in IRO didn't realize how dumb I was at the time (Probe, 1 miner 1 civ gatling in .6 space) was fairly peeved at the game before that. not one for MMORPG's and I had made some stupid mistakes.. but since then I have high enjoyed the game.. it's too bad my old Corp wasn't the same after I came back after a few month hiaties(sp). So I started this character in October and she is going strong... nearly ready to actually look to join a corp..

Read the original PCGamer UK review. At the time my pc was broken and i couldn't afford a new one for another couple of weeks so i bought the game anyway. As soon as i had a new pc i installed it. This was around the end of June 2003 and for about 2 months it was the only game i had installed on my pc.

Read the original PCGamer UK review. At the time my pc was broken and i couldn't afford a new one for another couple of weeks so i bought the game anyway. As soon as i had a new pc i installed it. I have to admit that I looked at EVE just before it went live and didn't think it would be any fun. Now I am hooked. Boy, I would be so much further ahead in those skills....

Heard about Eve late 2001/02 then forgot about it. Then a year or two later i got my ADSL connection and saw EVE sumwhere so i went and got it. But eve bloody wouldn't work on my laptop, at the time, so i went out and bought a PC.

I read a preview in PC Zone Benelux nr40 (early 2000), and i immediately fell for it. Only thing was i had no internet back then to get to it. I forgot about it untill late 2000, surfing on the school's computers... EVE was accepting beta forms, or something like that.
I filled in a few for different emails that i had (can't hurt to up the ante, no?  ), and i joined some corp called "Krath Imperium". Then i forgot about eve again.
In november 2002 i got a mail that i was accepted into beta, and iw as overjoyed.... though i still didn;t ahve broadband. A friend had, who was playing the EnB beta (so was i, at his house  ), and we tried EVE. After starting up, going through a completely nonsensical character generation, and no way of knowing how the hell you control your ship ("oh noes!!! we're going to crash into the station there!!!!" "quick, press those keys, maybe it'll move!!!" "WTF, going right through the station? cheap game....") the game crashed. He uninstalled it after a few times trying to get it running, but no luck. I forgot about it again.
January 2003 was the month i got my own broadband, so i started doing all sorts of stuff that can be done with it.... (joining a lot of UT clans for one... And joining a MW4 clan with which i still am lol)
After a month i rememebr i had a beta EVE account, so i thought, what the heck, lets download and install it. Form that moment i was hooked. I'm an oldie in some way, i just wasn't really active untill retail. Which i still regret btw.
