I have a couple accounts with extra SP. I had been saving them for *emergencies* or *optimal* use.
I think now, I have had them for like....2 years or so. 'Optimal Use' is so far out of reality it's a joke. I basicly have plenty of SP in whatever I need but having the dead SP just sitting feels like a bad idea at this point.
Any body else think like this? Is there any good reason to keep them available? |

Only if you plan on selling the character, since they may be useful/attractive to a potential buyer. Otherwise, use them in whatever skills look good that you aren't mapped for and reap the benefits. |

Optimal use in terms of time saved: Use your reimbursement to buy a skill with an optimal map you never, ever want to map. Charisma skills are a good one.
Optimal use in terms of doing something you otherwise wouldn't do at all: Dump them into a level 5 skill you never intended to take (maybe Logi V if you never really intended to really run a logi all the time, BS V if you usually fly BCs and lower, etc). Now that skill that used to be a waste of 25 days of training is only a waste of 17 days (or whatever, I've no idea what all you've been reimbursed for) and you might actually finish it when you have some spare time.
Emergency use: "****, seriously, we assembled the fleet and no one can actually run a cloaky scout?" "HAVE NO FEAR, MY FRIENDS, FREE SP TO THE RESCUE" |

Do any of these characters fly T3s at all? If so, save them for the eventual inevitable loss. |

Actually 
I just refitted a new Tengu last night. I wanted T2 CCC rigs and I just discovered I need Jury Rigging IV to mount them. Skill points applied.
I think I will train the skill loss in real time....Reminds me to be smart for awhile, because I seriously derped when I lost this one.  |
