Why is it that you need to do a 24 hour vote to declare war if there is only one person that holds all of the corp shares, or if everyone has already voted. It doesn't make sense for me to be voting all on my own and having to wait 24 hours for it aswell.
Unless I'm missing some way of doing it without the silly 24 hour vote. Thoughts?

if you dont like it create an alliance and your wars will go in with out the 24 hour vote period.

Yeah, pay 1b and 50mil for every wardec to get around a silly mechanic, that makes sense

Yeah, if anything you'd expect it to be the other way round; instant for corps but requiring a CEO vote for alliances.
Then again, CCP doesn't do logic. ----------- I think, therefore I'm single. Want to learn combat/PVP? Alliance creation service |

The 24-hours just gives fair warning for the targets to shape up.
Me I love to grief, and if I could have a war go live instantly I know I could have some fun with that...

OP is not talking about the 24h it takes for the war to go live (which is fair) but about the 24h it takes for the vote to complete, which is stupid.
If everybody with shares has voted there is no reason to wait for the full 24h.

if you had a bunch of members it would give them time to vote. esp. if they are in different time zones. dont make it sound like CCP is dumb. you are for asking about something so obvious. |

Learn to read before flaming. I was saying the 24h voting period is stupid when either
a) You are the only person with shares, thus the only person who can vote b) Everyone has finished voting

Put simply the OP is asking for a vote to conclude once the vote outcome has been determined, such that anyone else either cannot vote or their vote would not alter the outcome - i.e. > 50% of votes have been cast for a particular outcome...

There is an occasional bug that delays the ability to launch the dec if you are the only voter or the CEO is the only voter.
give it a few hours, log and try again... C-MAC is currently recruiting PVP pilots. Check out our forums: Here |

I can confirm this bug. Waiting an hour or two causes the votes to show up, but annoying none the less. Especially on top of HAVING to wait the 24h

It's probably something to do with the fact that CCP probably never intended/don't intend for corporations to consist of 1 player (or 1 player and 1 or more alts).
