Well. I'm a 2 week EVE-n00b. 1 week after I started playing war was declared on my corp. But instead of sitting in a safe station, I tried to learn about PvP, spent hours staring at the fitting screen, train and study skills i never even heard about previously. A whole new world opened up for me and made EVE even more interesting than it already was. Sure, I got jumped and lost a ship... but it was pure fun and adrenaline, all 40 secs the attack lasted. 
After that I learned about ganging up, joined in hunts, even joined an alliance fleet of 110 ships. I didn't get to shoot at an enemy but still. They're all new experiences.
K. Not everyone is up for this playing style. But you could always change corp. And you get to change that sig of yours...

Certain alliances have always favoured Empire as a safe haven. Other alliances are quite happy to wage war across all space.
The big winners, paradoxically, will be large empire corps that don't care to be in an alliance as the cost of an alliance declaring war on them (especially if the alliance is already embroiled in war(s)) will be prohibitive.
This looks somewhat as if alliances are not supposed to have large amounts of carebear corps in them.
Mercs, btw, if the formal contract system ever gets done, should get the benefit of sanctioned war cover if they are under contract without joining an alliance. (Just throw that in..)

If you needed help let the Directors of Event NOVA know instead of posting on the forums.
We will advise you on how to stay alive and teach you a few tricks of the
trade. Plus PvP is the one thing in the game that rock big time. The ammount of skills
needed to take part on a small scale are not large. Once you get your first
Kill you will find it hard to go back to do anything else but PvP.
So please don't look at the new wars as a hinderance look at it as an oportunity to
learn something new.

we love the fight, but even if i didnt enjoy PVP, id still like the challenge of flying through empire avoiding my enemy..

I dunno, sounds quite exiting to me. Slap it in a badger, Wham on an ECM array, and go cause some mayhem (Keeping the minerals in your hold is optional).

I dunno, sounds quite exiting to me. Slap it in a badger, Wham on an ECM array, and go cause some mayhem (Keeping the minerals in your hold is optional).

I understand your frustration. Xetic forces spent alot of time LOOKING FOR CA this weekend. We were even kind enough to go to their Region, but to no avail. Could you and the rest of the community be kind enough to tell us where CA is hiding? Perhaps we could use bookmarks to get there before they log off. 
UPDATE: CA found and poded me.  LOL Megathron vs 10 BS = OWNAGE. I can't tell you enough how much I love battle
