Yes this please, and while you're at it get those damn rigs out of my mechanics... and those construction skills

well seriously, seems ridiculous for me to only have 2 skills on the PI category. not only on the market, but on our skill list.

If all this does is refine the scan by "sharpening" or contracting the color patch/blob, all we need to do is put extractors down in the center of any blob to skip this skill.
If the error presented includes some random offset (scanned overlay not aligned with resource map) then you could sell me the skillbooks.

Its not in the center of the red spot, thats why shrinking the line doesnt help, shrinking the line refines the circle smaller into hotspots from the info you have.
if you dont believe this, take a screenshot of at planetology 0 then research to 1-2-3 taking screenshots at same position, the hot spot shrinks but it doesnt shrink to the middle of the original hotspot,
at best i can see the hotspots at planetology 0 are approximations, at V-V it would be dead on, the question is whether that wud be worth it.

What, a series of images like this?
The upper row is Planetology 0, 1, 2, and 3
The lower row is Planetology 4, with Advanced Planetology 0, 1, and 2.
There have been several new builds between screencaps, so that may account for some of the differences. In particular, the build that came out while I was training Planetology 4 added weather patterns to the globe. Which is why you can see them on the bottom row but not the top row.
This is the same planet at the same angle (the default one) for the same resource with the same slider level.
