For a bit longer planing, if you look at BS, domi and raven for missions are again the same. For pvp I'd take domi over raven any time. And after raven, for missions, comes golem. And after domi comes nothing.
Anyway, both have some advantages, for all around drake is a bit better, simply cause myrmi is very limited in larger gangs, but even than it's all about what you like to fly. Drones or missiles?

Actually, you can't. That is, 2% difference doesn't count :)
While EFT reports similar DPS tanked as a function of passive shield regen, the drake still wins the Tanking race. its a small thing called "5% shield resists per level."
Full passively tanked drake (no bcs, all sprs) gets 235 hp/s shield regen at lvl5 skills, Myrm gets 355 hp/s. Passive Myrm is capable of tanking some lvl5s without rr, drake is not. Myrm tanks far better, not that you'll need anything close to this for lvl3s, and lvl4s should be done in bs, lvl5s with Rattlesnake(800 hp/s passive regen) or BS + rr.
The reason most people don't know this is because drake is more accessible and practical, so they start off cadari and never actually bother to crosstrain and fit passive Myrm, at which point they'll realize the very noticeable gap between the two. Missile skills take less SP to be effective, and have primary attribute in line with ship skills, compared to Memory for drones, which are also not very effective until T2, since there are no accessible higher meta t1 drones like there are higher meta launchers/guns, or faction ammo. Missiles themselves are also easier to use for noobies, aim and shoot.
Drake is easy to use, accessible for low SP, while having more than enough tank. It's popular because it has missiles, not because it's the best tank among t1 BCs.
