With Liam leaving, alliance morale was down and many people really stopped caring about what was going on. The new leadership was around but not active and busy the way Liam was. Fleet compositions went to **** and organization broke down. It almost seemed like we had nobody keeping track of reinforcement timers etc in order to schedule ctas. Not to mention, ctas that were called were mailed 2-3 hours or less prior to when the fleet was expected to form up. We obviously had the ability to fend off Coven/SE with Liam around as we proved in our defence of HHQ,but the new leadership obviously wasn't able. Long story short Sys K+Liam/INET= New Sys K=

^ this. Sys-k was most definitely a cult of personality. Liam was a great leader and his fleets were hilariously entertaining. porco dio.

I ask myself, what happened to the original pilots, the ones that were attending the fleet fights in the beginning. You see, if these remained then it should not be a problem to field the proper numbers and kit. If you were having 200 pilots in fleet out of an alliance membership of 1000, you still (in theory) should be able to field 200 pilots out of an alliance of 4000, 10000, etc. I grant you the fact that with a larger member base you could have fielded 2 fleets.
Besides, you needed these corps to keep space for you.
With regards to the original pilots a large percentage of our Liam Era CTA fleets would come from both I.Net and SSE. I.Net, though still a member of the alliance in name until very recently left Esoteria. SSE joined En Garde a couple of months back prior to the C0ven/SE conflict starting. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that these two corps between them were making the fleets, however they were providing a bulk of not only the experienced pilots but also the FCs we as an alliance were used to working under. Although we were sometimes achieving the kind of numbers we would expect from a 0.0 alliance, we were not seeing the ship types required to hold our space. Especially against such well-formed group as C0ven and SE. Mittens wrote a long time ago that Sys-K formed the line-slime for the StainWagon fleets with C0ven and SE providing the main cap group/specialized forces. This never changed and we had lost a lot of our core pilots whilst C0ven and SE had gotten more powerful.

Sadly this is true, i had to leave nearly without notice all the stressfull things i was doing in eve, added to the problems in rl it was ruining my health, due to that i had no time to fix up a new leadership before leaving, let's say that what happened lately is mostly my fault
Well done Liam, you did very well as a leader according to my sources, I hope you can relax a bit now you've quit eve. Good Luck Mate.

From now on, we're just keeping Rottweilers.
Rottweilers? i was told we were chihuahuas, damit...
No,no,no. It was marmots. Also Carl told me to pack a freighter full of rubber gloves and vaseline to bring to PB, and this would end all our problems.

Hmmm, facts seem to show that what, 4 of the corps that left were the top 6 in stats on your own kb. I'm sure they just weren't living up to the standards of EDF that provided 6 BSs for the final defense of A1.
Sys-k was the epitome of fail and their 3000 + 4000 allies could not overcome 1000 C0VEN AND Stain so lol.

Edited by: Sephiroth CloneIIV on 17/06/2010 23:25:35 SC, or stain wagon as a unified power block isn't helping itself by having alliance members shooting each other.
But I guess thatĘs political disputes for you. Some power blocks are not really close allies, but instead a loose conglomerate of self serving competing groups, each ready to stab each other in the back and take each others resources if the other shows a bit of weakness.
Imagine if NC was like that, if when WI was losing geminite and MM and Majesta empire would be like "tough ****" unblues them and starts shooting them when trying evacuating into their space, and take some of the systems for themselves.

The problem is people like you don't know when to STFU and follow instructions, you always think you know best and have the answer for everything.
Hey, didn't you once have the answer for everything? Until of course 90% of the people you "managed" set about raping the **** out of pretty much anything you undocked? In that CVA style bastardization of Hub Zero?
Oh yeh, that's you alright. The only person I know of that is generally disliked more than Liam (Hey Liam, love you long time xxx)

Lightningshade, oh I get it, another " I hate Aaron thread"
Funny you should mention the people I "managed", they thought they new better than me and joined sys-k thinking they would be better off in Stain Wagon. The people I "managed" wanted to be NBSI, I wanted them to be NRDS so we fell out and started fighting.
Now these guys are back dwelling near me and they dislike me because I was right and they were wrong.
I could manage a big alliance, however, block heads like you would not listen cos you think you know better when you actually don't.
Just like Liam I have no interest in managing people like you and I'm happy just to have a small group of buddies and have some FUN. Think before you type your nonsense Lightningshade u really haven't got a clue.

why the fail cascade?
I'd not normally post here but I'll explain it as best I can and then the trolls can go to work.
Some months ago, a decision was made by the then Alliance leadership to change to a quantity over quality approach to recruitment. This had repercussions when c0ven and SE decided to attack our soverignty. CTAs would be called with fleet composition focus on Sniper Battleships and alot of corp's members where turning up in T1 Cruisers/Battlecruisers or not turning up at all. Similary, despite our having a large number of Dreads and Carriers, Corps and/or their members where unwilling to commit them meaning we where outmached in the Capital department. There was also a communications break down between Primary and Sys-K (this was our fault, not theirs) resulting in them often not knowing about CTAs undermining their attempts to help us. When we lost A1, a decision was made to pull back to our Period Basis holdings and get back to our roots as a PvP Alliance. The interium Leadership made a decision of who should stay and who should go, based upon several factors:
1. Did they bring the right ships to fleets? 2. Where these ships fitted correctly? 3. Size of their Cap fleet and willingness to field it. 4. Was their primary focus on PvP?
Each corp. not chosen to remain where told the reasons why, asked to turn over the station to our infrastructure Corp. and given a default five day withdrawl time with extensions given upon request and help offered to evac assets. A couple of Corps decided to leave of their own volition. The majority of CEOs whilst obviously disapointed, where understanding and co-operated with our requests. Two were not. This resulted in our having to take back one of our own stations in Period Basis with a little help from our friends in LR and RKK (thank you to both).
Our focus now is on securing our Period Basis holdings and bringing the fun back to our burnt out pilots. I'll not deny Systematic Chaos was on the verge of a fail cascade but contrary to the belief that we did, these steps allowed us to keep the core of the Alliance together and prevented that very thing from happening. Hopefully over the comming months, you'll see a very different Systematic Chaos from the one we were prior to these changes.
sounds like a well thought out plan.

Good Luck guys :)
Try to do better then what i did learning by my mistakes too, sys-k is something i created and i wish all the best to it!
The idea of cleaning up is something i always tought about, but the requirement for our commitment in the various big engagement was a big number of pilots in fleet, during my management sys-k was always a realiable big sub-capital force, it made the difference many times so we always had to balance between useless people and good one trying to end up with a decent mix.
Now that you don't have the same pression you can work on your quality creating a better group, and i can't wait to see the good results :) make the old Liam proud ^^

So in another words, you lost the war to C0VEN and decide to move, and in the process loosing most of your corps.
You have used the present tense of "lose" (loosing <sic>) when the past tense (lost) would have been appropriate. Alternativly you could added "...ended up losing..." to create the same effect while mainting grammitical accuracy.
