Why is it that the Tech II Neutron Blasters use 7 cpu more than Tech I blasters when:
Tech II Projectile guns only use +2 more, Tech II Laser guns ony use +3 more.
Now the Megathron is not what you would call gifted with CPU and PG and you have made these guns almost impossible to fit. Its the same sort of ratio for medium's as well..I could understand a +4 cpu usage but 7
So any chance of taking a look at this because at the moment its silly to try and use them, and dont even get me started on the other problems with these guns and the Megathron in general

neutron blaster diffrence between tech one and two = 7 CPU and 138 extra power grid
Mega pulse laser diffrence between tech one and two = 3 cpu and 250 extra grid
I quess that its based on a % of the requirments but i cant be botherd to check, best not to compare one part of something without checking all the other parts.

Yep you are correct Dark, but the Apoc can deal with the extra pg % better than the Megathron can deal with the cpu usage.
The powergrid and cpu usage on the blasters combined just makes these guns not really usable.

I'd leave megapulse out of all balancing work atm, they'll be nerfed, either range or tracking or dmg will be reduced in time.
And let's be honest i use them myself, and quiet clearly they need a slight nerf of _ONE_ stat ;) |

Megapulse are already nerfed on 1 stat, otherwise the other stats are spot on what they should be compared to medium/heavy pulse. I won't go into details as it's explained here
Linkage
As for tech 2 hybrids getting a cpu increase, that is inline with the rest of the other tech 2 guns. They each have there harshest fiting req increased the most, projectiles and lasers get PG hybrids get cpu. I expect tech 2 launchers will have eve worse cpu increase. Hybrids don't have it all bad tho, have u tried fitting a full set of medium beam II's on anything other than cruisers without gimping your setup?

Well it doesnt actually matter if the grid increase is in line with other guns..The problem is that Large hybrids have high pg fitting and terrible cpu fitting,And when you make them even higher it just basically stops them being remotly effective on the Mega.
So if the guns are in line and are correct with other guns then there must be a Problem with the ship.Either way the mega needs more cpu and pg..or the guns need to be lowered in cpu.
Again at the momement tech II large hybrids are not an option to use on a Megathron, other tech II guns will fit and are VERY usable on there chosen ship.

It's the same with the t2 1400mm projectiles. I believe they use 7 more CPU but they also use 325 more grid. Already us Tempest users have to put 1 RCU on if we use 6 1400's. Once we use 6 t2 1400's we're ging to have to run 2-3 RCU's to make full use of the high slots. I'd rather buy 1400mm scouts, they have the same damage/tracking/rof as the t2 versions for alot less cpu/grid, but most likely at an increased cost as I have not yet seen t2 1400's for sale.

Nope all tech II projectiles use +2 cpu usage above standard..but like you say its easier to fit named because your set-up is so nerfed its not effective,on a Megathron at least.
Again the guns might be fine and the ship is the problem as the mid slots for a blasterthron are a must fit item and are very pg--cpu intensive. Anyway may be nice to get a Devs thinking on the issue
