I noticed that there are players on the T2 ship market that for some reason started to dump their ships at ridiculous low prices.
Cerberus for example have been going for as low as 77m the past two days, that's hardly the costs for inventing and producing it. Same goes for other ships like falcons, rooks etc.
Is there any reason i have not seen as why these ships are being sold for these low prices, or is it an early reaction on the Tech 2 component production from Tyrannis? (as far as i can tell only a handfull of T2 products will be available in PI, rest still needs to come from moon mining)
Any idea's ?

first in a post that points out that intentards are being stupid once again.... although, you know, it's probably T2 bpo's causing it --
Nothing is worthless, you may have gotten it for free but it still has an inherent value

If you have been inventing Cerbs at any time in the last year then you are doing it wrong.

I don't know what to say. I doubt that the 50,000 isk worth of Construction Blocks is going to have much of an effect on the price.
For a Cerberus BPO at ME 0, the build cost is about 84m isk. It's about 76m isk for perfect ME, which would likely take years to get. I imagine you could get pretty close if you research for two or three months. For anyone interested in paying 100b+ isk for a Cerberus BPO, you might want to think twice about your return on investment! ;-) The BPO isn't worth building; you would be better off using your build slots for just about anything else, particularly since they take forever to build.
T2 ships, and T1 battleships, have always been a bad market if you ask me. People get their hearts set on building or inventing ships, and don't do the math until it is too late.

Edited by: Misanthra on 22/05/2010 11:38:50 Major war is affecting prices of moon goo and products of moon goo. Also major war got people switching over to the bulk warehouse sale model. Very low profit per unit sold...but make money if they move the bulk volume sales. In the war zone...sb's for example can die in bunches nightly. Tighter you can work the bottom line of your sb lines...better chance an alliance operated jf will buy up all 10 of your sb's in jita one fell swoop to restock the war zone stations.

Bad market? Not for me:) I guess its a matter of being in the right place and the right time with the right ship. But you're right people do get their math wrong.

If I were you w/ some iskies in my hands, I'll just go stockpile some of em. Back in about one and half year ago when none knew Ferrogel cheaters existed, t2 ship price was this low.
Well, in fact, if I have that much of money of money, I'll put it in different places. |

Perhaps some folks are expecting mineral prices to drop when the expansion hits so they're trying to unload their inventory before that feeds through into the production chain?

Perhaps you should think before you post. Have a look at the following link and think about the proportion of cerb price in relation to the caracal, nocxium, morphite and R.A.M. required for construction (factoring in the me of bpc).

It must be all those 'free' moon minerals...
T2 ship costs are mostly moon goo, not standard asteroid minerals.
Lets say you are building a Cerberus without a BPO.
Invention is roughly 25% chance, you would spend about 15 mill on datacores to get a 1 copy ME -4 BPC.
Then at ME-4 you would need: 2184 Nox 1 Caracal 188 Construction Blocks 188 Morphite 12 RAM 94 Magpulse Thruster 497 Gravi Sensor Cluster 1688 Quantum Microprocessor 7031 Titanium Diborite Arm Plate 47 Graviton Reactor 563 Scalar Capacitor Unit 563 Sustained Shield Emitter
Only the Caracal, Nox and Morphite need asteroid minerals. They would cost about 4 million. The rest is moon goo.
I make Titanium Carbide to be the main contributor @ about 50 million of the costs. Then nanotransistors @ 27 million and sylramic fibers @ 19 million.

RAM is minerals. And some of that stuff is NPC/PI goods.

RAM is a miniscule amount of minerals. For 12 RAM you're talking:
6000 Trit, 4800 Pyer, 2400 Mex, 888 Iso, 384 Nocx
And only one of "that stuff" is NPC/PI goods: Construction Blocks.
