I have a petiton which was filed on July 1st. I did the Certificate Missions for the three Amarr Solar Systems described in the official Eve wiki on Datacentres. I received no standings increases per the wiki. Furthermore theere was a minor glitch with the Minmatar one in that one of the signed certificates was not consumed. The GM who eventually researched this, GM Tiny (who took it overr from GM Homonoia) actually found that only one facton and it's corps had standing changes (positive ones), which he reversed out!! WTF!!!! Despite me asking him repeatedly to document in the petition what he did - with numbers for the faction/corps, it's fallen on deaf ears. He is giving me no option other than to redo missions. I'm paying for monthly subscription. Sounds like I'm paying to be a damned tester. To resolve this satisfactorily I want the standings transactions addded and not redo missions. If I do redo - offer some form of compensation. An extra day to subscription renewal to go to other side of space and redo the msssions. A generous amount of ISK or something. After all there are far more lucrative missions I could now be running close to hand where I am. Please someone review this case. I've asked for the petition to be handed over to a more senior GM, but it's just sat there, with no action being taken. Totally unacceptable. The clock is ticking and I am trying to improve my Minmatar standings to run their Epic Arc. I need the extra bit of Amarr standings boost so I don't have to divert training to something like Diplomacy/Connections 5. We need a standings fix program ASAP that a GM can run. Look at Rules Engines devs - so GM's can calculate standings changes manually if need be. Or have code modularly written so mainline code and patch program can share it!

Escalate the petition to a senior GM. They will take a look at your petition and their word/ruling is final. Demanding things on the forums will usually do jack **** for you. |

But posting on the forums isnt going to get it sorted faster, and CCP isn't know to hand out ISK based on the argument "I could be doing something more profitable now" and im pretty sure CCP doesn't give out extra subscription, ever, and if they do they wont bother with something as trivial as a day more "7 pages of people insulting me - aka trolling" - Lady Hofstedar What s/he (probobly he) meant: "7 pages of people disagreeing with my terrible idea - aka trolling" - Lady Hofstedar |

Atleast there are server side logs so you have a shot. I lost 400m installing a job that started consuming materials but never installed. No trace on the server at all. What's worse, they're refusing to fix the issue eventhough I pointed out 2 possible reasons which are easy to check or atleast how to easily log it without any overhead, besides a state change.
But instead BH's insist on reproducing it eventhough I got a senior GM say he's fully willing to admit that something out of the ordinary happened.
tldr; they don't care if you loose stuff because of bugs. |

Only, I heard you weren't supposed to raise duplicate petitions. |

Low priority issues like this may take a bit to sort out, especially since staffing is very light at CCP this time of year.
I realise this may somehow seem important to you, but reimbursing your standings is pretty trivial.
Fixing that bug will be their first priority (assuming one exists) because it affects newer players, but right now even that will likely take a little longer than normal. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Well the GM has confirmed agreed that something definitely went awry, so there is nothing to 'asumme' . It's a fact. And, yes. I am a new player myself. I feel like Al Pacino in the movie Heat and his immortal quote, "Don't waste my mother f*ing time" - when GM tells me to redo stuff I've already done. CCP is providing a paid service right. If there is admittance of an error - good customer service would mean doing right by the person. |

I used the word assume because I have not seen any other mention of this issue on the forums so (no offense) we have nothing but your post to go by.
CCP usually does a good job of taking care of legitimate issues if they can verify the issue and determine the correct action or reimbursement steps to take. However this means that until and unless they can directly confirm what you have said in their logs (which will take time, and will be prioritized appropriately) you will need to wait... and if it can not be confirmed then you will be out of luck on reimbursement and will need to do it again... or simply skip it.
Yes, you are paying for a service. So is everyone else in the petition system. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. I'm thinking, sh*t, this guy is still trying to discredit my words. Well seeing as you can't attach screenshots to forum posts, it's kind of hard to substantiate stuff. So, I took another approach and Googled it on the term 'eve choonka' - one of the Agents you deal with around the time of doing the circle Agent repair plan for Amarr - per the official Eve wiki. Guess what. Someone else has a similar issue.: http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=800614 Still a 'doubting Thomas' now? Please give people the benefit of the doubt, before jumping to conclusions. My beef is I did not get the standings increases documented on the wiki page and wasted valuable time not achieving the specific target I was aiming for. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Data_Centers#Amarr_Empire_and_Ammatar_Mandate |

And even now I'm still no wiser as to what that GM did in reversing standings I'd worked for. Grrrrrrrrrr. CCP is going down in my standings with this kind of poor p/r. |

Happy to to announce that a more senior GM did finally add a day to subscription renewal. He indicated that the missions I did had standings incresses, but they appear to be Agents for the Khanid/Ammatar factions. Not the Amarr as the wiki indicated. Which had been the whole point of doing missions, as my Amarr standinsg had waned the most. Still no wiser as to the specific quantifiable numbers in standings original guy took off and were purportedly added back again, despite asking for it to be documented though. |

I'm glad your issue was resolved, and more importantly a minor inconsistancy in the Wiki was revealed... which will cause less confusion for other players. BTW: Read your tag line to your signature: Quote:If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set as the rest of the player base. I concur, for those who join in same era the playing field is level. You overlook two things, the old timers have in there favour over us newbies:
- Tech II BPO's
- the old skill training used to allow people to train faster.

Interesting twist to the thread.
Tech II BPO's can be purchased by anyone, and often can be found for sale. Production rate from Tech II BPO's is very, very low compared to what can be done in the invention system. You can churn out a few items each month and make a bit higher profit per item, but in no way can the output of a Tech II BPO match the volume and overall profits possible through invention (although they do serve to help keep prices from skyrocketing). They certainly are not in the same league as the revenue generated by running level 4 missions or Incursions.
The old training skills were removed due to demand from newer players, and all stats were boosted to the point where all players have (in essence) the equivalent of level 5 training skills by default. Implants aside, we all train as if we had devoted the time into maxing out training skills.
The old timers only have two advantages over newer players.
First they can do a wider variety of things than a newer player, but thanks to the level 5 cap on all skills they really can't do any of those things (skill wise) "better" than a newer player.
Second, and most importantly, they have the benefit of actual experience in the best ways to play game... and likely better connections with a wider variety of players. Both of which are "advantages" that rightfully SHOULD come with having played the game longer, since they are not advantages granted artificially granted by the rule set of the game... and in both cases are not automatically gained. Yes, there are many older players who play like noobs and also completely fail at working with others to attain their goals.
Bottom line, your success or failure in this game is solely dependent on you... not anything or anyone else. Attempts to blame any setbacks you may experience on other players or game mechanics is simply mental masturbati0n. |

Interesting. Other than knowing you could buy them for a fortune, I didn't realise they had drawbacks. Thanks for sharing.

I can think of a third too. The Bloodlines used to allow you to start out an alt with specialized starting skills pre-trained. Nowadays. All bloodlines start the same - it's just comsmetic appearance these days. So if you wanted to bring on a slew of Research, Manufacturing, or Trader alts, that used to take a lot less time. |
