About 3hrs 20mins to go (until 18:00 UTC) I think.
I tryed to login this morning to up my skills queue which was about to expire....so I'm losing training time right now!
I assume when the servers are live I just launch Eve as usual and it'll prompt me to download the patch to latest version? ....only done small updates before, not a big one like this...I started with Dominion.

Use this
can anyone confirm that all the newest keylogger and trojans are in this download ... dont want to download them twice
i doubt seriously that an app hosted on the eve servers has keyloggers and trojans...but if you're that 'noid, more power to ya.
i'm more concerned if this will be the actual "launch" patch, since i've read more than a few posts about "last minute changes" that might make 154366 invalid.

Version '154366' is the test sever version and highly UN-likely to be the patch version for tranquility we are waiting for.

Originally by: Minealot 18:00, no chance they will be up by then. They just say that so all those people at work have something to look forward to when they return home tonight when EVE usage would usually peak.
Wouldn't want a bunch of unhappy customers saying "Why didn't you do this upgrade over a quiet time?"
And don't forget the last minute fixes in the days to follow, you can expect to download the client again once some clever people work out a few exploits in the new code base and start bragging on local.
I'll check back in a week, when the dust settles a little before we go through this all again on the 6th of June.
so true, the history of CCP's patch deployments is kinda repeats it self every time. The deployment to server is not that long, replaying scenarios with limited manpower of dev-team/GM's is. That's why the DT is so long... And I hope to be wrong, but pretty sure the server won't be up at 18:00 accepting players.
The interesting thing is that from the first post in this thread, not even once a GM or DEV replied. Ither they are all busy on tranquility going through the QA checklist or just love to keep us in the dark about the deployment progress and having fun

Theres 19 Players on the server. CCP enjoying Eve without all those pesty subscribers? ^^
I guess this means the build at least somehow works on the tranq-equip \o/ And why is there still nothing that sets content apart from signature? Is that intentional or technically imposible? |

Well,
I downloaded it fine, looking at the server status now, Not Accepting Connections but the server is online.
http://content.eveonline.com/evepremiumpatch127381-154366_m.exe
Used this to do a manual download instead of waiting for the auto updater to pop up, worked well.
Anyways no key loggers or trojans :P

hm some other thoughts about the patch:
In the past we had a scrambled/deleted boot.ini, an gate disconnect bug, an devestating lag and so on after the patch.
Bets are open what new and funny bug will apply with this patch

Definitely lag I'm sure. esspecially on 6/8 when PCC's get seeded and the mad rush to put them down on as many planets as we all can. It's gonna be a CCP nightmare lol

I had the negative armour bug happen to me. I loaded up with an armour buffer, then lost most of that on a mission. So I ran back to station and removed all that plating so I could rep quicker. To my surprise when un-docked my armour was non-existent and mentioned a negative value of several thousand, so I still had to repair the previous damage - which quite right, sounds like a bug.
So, I kept repairing until all was done. I should have tried that negative armour buffer out a bit, I'm wondering now if I was hit by damage it would try to subtract a negative value from a negative and go positive, or maybe it would have just gone more and more negative never reaching hull structure damage, or maybe my client would just crash out
I guess the same thing was in effect with shield buffer tanks, which makes me think how they "fixed" this. Bugs when fixed are design changes, and now they've fixed my negative buffer issue I should be able to take off that damaged buffer tank and repair those modules, instead of repairing my ship. That's gonna be a LOT cheaper than repairing the ship when they are fitted, and also mean I can now have a buffer tank ready to go again without the trouble of repairing all that previous damage.
That's the trouble with fixing "bugs", you don't always fix them for the better. I wonder if this could be classified an exploit?
