This patch doesn't cover much because IF YOU READ THE DEV BLOGS they go over the time frame constrictions. A popular one is the Scorpion. Read the dev blog by CCP Salvo and they go over how they're going to have to remodel all of the ships but time is irrelevant to some of you. And to be fair, Planatary interaction, though nothing i'm interested in, IS A HUGE LEAP in the right direction for eve. Your precious rockets (which if your using you fail anyway) will just have to wait.
Now, I'm going to put half of you in locator agents, scan you out with my alt, nano my destroyer out so i can make it through high sec and and SUICIDE GANK YOU! BOOGIE MAN!!

You could be playing WOW, where every expansion is 70 bucks and you still end up with the same End game content, just different scenerios.
I don't know what World of Warcraft you've been playing, but you're so far off course, you're in danger of going into orbit.
Every expansion has had different end-game content. The only similarity is that they are raids, with multiple players. Tactics and content differs radically. Vanilla WoW had Blackrock Depths and Molten Core. Burning Crusade had Tempest Keep, Black Temple, and Sunwell Plateau, and Wrath of the Lich King had Ulduar, Trial of the Crusader (To name but a few), and now has Icecrown Citadel.

my experience of the expansions in woW was that they just made all the kit I spent weeks grinding for obsolete. And I paid for that.
