Here is the current list of patch notes specifically relating to the Mac client. A full list of changes to the game that will come with EVE Online: Tyrannis can be found here.
Mac
* Version info for eveonline.app has been updated. It previously listed ôApocryphaö and ô2009ö but now correctly indicates ôTyrannisö and ô2010ö. * An issue with probe move boxes disappearing has been fixed. * Mouse cursors no longer get stuck to window edges when resizing. * A glitch in the warp tunnel effect seen with high graphics settings has been fixed. * Download speed of updates will no longer be unnecessarily constrained by the EVE client architecture. * A crash reporter has been integrated into the client, allowing users to send debug information should a crash occur.

Thanks, good fixes. The sticky mouse cursors and the probe boxes disappearing has been driving me nuts.

Edited by: Bel''shamharoth on 22/05/2010 04:37:53 I suppose this means Tyrannis won't fix the issue with Alt+F4 not triggering when used as a shortcut? It's not a huge deal, but it's still annoying.
Reference Bug ID 94874.

Would be nice if more than one client could be launched and a window mode for the client not only fullscreen.

Both is possible.
2 clients with 2 apps in different folders (not much comfortable but working ... only spend more disk space ... )
And window mode is available with shortcut. After app started to login screen just use cmd+return and then just play in window ... I play this way nearly all time

@ Caleb:
Window mode - simply hit CMD-RETURN - voila.
Repeat to go back to full screen

Is it working. I have Mac Client version 127381 and there is no patch available for this version. If I try to download a new build it seems to be indicating I am downloading version 127381 which I already have.

Same situation here. No new client downloads, either full build or patch is available for Mac users. What gives?

Eve is expected to be back up at 18:00UTC, and at some point later there will be an automated patch when CCP decide they have the final build. It's always a mistake downloading other patches you find unless you want to install the whole client again.

I'm not pretty sure it, cause client is not native for mac. I have rally powerfull one mac pro, but some times it sneezing like a windows application and crushing with windows error. Right now i've launched EVE client and saw and error (Wrong client version), but client didn't said me anything about update download. p.s.: my mac - 2x2,93GHz Xeon (8 core's total), 16 Gb RAM, Ati 4870HD 513 mb VIDEO. So i didn't see any reason for bad work native application on it.

Tranquility is not up yet. Therefore, it is unlikely the patch is available yet. Incompatible build is the normal error if your local client is out of sync from the server version. Since the server is upgraded and in testing now, your client is out of sync. (At 14:37 UTC)

thanks fallout I certainly plan on making use of this tool every time my client freezes , but oh wait, since it usually freezes the entire OS, I cannot file a report after the cold- reboot !
So hoping there is a solution in this and you have coordinated it with the Cider devision porting your exe more info, more often and more macs to Iceland !

Nice.
Kinda laughed at myself when I saw the fixes...had I known that the sticky mouse on the resizes and the scanner probe handles were Mac specific, I would have complained before!
I like the bug report, and thanks for thinkin of us.

The probe issue was annoying as hell :P had to turn them off and on several times till you had it appearing.
And i will make use of that crash reporter, if it works.. i often get "UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION, Do you wish to debug it?" and it doesnt matter what you click, you crash anyways. So i guess this will replace that message with the Eve Crash Error Handler and insted of being useless you will be able to send it to CCP?
And.. when the DL will be available? i dont want to be the last one to log in :( (The official DL, im not patching my client with some random patch the users found :P)

What is the prefered way of updating the client at this time? Waiting for the autoupdater to kick in? Downloading the client patch manually og fetching the whole new client?
The first two seems not to work and Id rather not DL the whole client again if I can get around not to do that.
May be me thats failing abit here, but any suggestions? |

For the previous patch, I ended up downloading the whole client again. Following the patch notes, I'm currently trying the client update route. It's currently looking like the longest 400 MB download I've had since, well, since the last time I tried to patch Eve ...

This isn't the first time I've experienced this, but why is the mac updater so slow? My pc updated to Tyrannis in about 5 minutes flat, my mac is at 16%.
Worse, my mac is on the hardline and my pc (a laptop) is wireless. Both are on a huge pipe.
Strangeness. Not fatal, but still strange.

Probes and mouse are perfect patches. This was really crappy before. And the crashreporter ist good too. I will use it every time it shows to me :)

Regarding: * Download speed of updates will no longer be unnecessarily constrained by the EVE client architecture.
I am assuming that this will be true AFTER we download and install the patch? I was able to install and start plying right away on my PC, but for my Mac, it has been over an hour and it has not finished downloading the patch yet.
I'm looking forward to the fixes. Hoping that it also fixes the issue with it bogging down the system if it is running. For example, my screen cannot keep up with me typing this message.
