As many of you are aware, there have been server outtages this evening because of database issues. Rest assured that CCP is working on resolving the issue and returning the game to service. Obviously, this means that CCP is aware of the issue.
Having said that, it is not necessary to spam the forums with "OMG, the server is down!!!11" posts. These posts will be locked and/or deleted. If a player spams the same type of post three times, that player will be banned from the forums for 24 hours.
In the past, CCP has reimbursed players for significant amounts of downtime that have resulted from hardware or software failures. This was done at the end of spring when the hardware upgrade caused an increase in downtime over the course of a few days. If the current issues progress longer than a 24 hour time period, CCP will open internal discussion on whether to extend the billing cycle, thus crediting player accounts with an extra day.
Posts of this nature will be dealt with in the same manner as posts mentioning the server outtage. Three strikes, enjoy the day away from the forums.

Hopefully the database issues aren't to drastic

I can only imagine the screams of frustration and the bruised foreheads from hitting the keyboard at CCP when this stuff happens. No company wants to have downtime like this, so I have no doubts as to how hard all of you are working to fix the problems.

I can only imagine the screams of frustration and the bruised foreheads from hitting the keyboard at CCP when this stuff happens. No company wants to have downtime like this, so I have no doubts as to how hard all of you are working to fix the problems.

But what i dont like to hear is if the sevive is down for over a day CCP might give us a refund..... lol there should be no might about it. In the end why should we pay due to your defective parts. Over than that all is fine in the world

im torn. on one side i didnt get to play eve today. this is a grave situation, though one from which i have great hope i will eventually recover. This makes me want to scream and shout.. or rant, whatever.
On the other hand... ill bet CCP are more ****ed of than me. Obviously they didnt mean for this to happen, and they had to work all day to fix it while all i did was "try to read forum, try to start eve, and repeat" (and eat and stuff)

kieron, i am one of those angry ppl and i have a reason. I pay for 2 accounts and did pay for 3 untill i got borred of waitin for Shiva and did let 1 account go ( you know that Shiva did not get launsh on right time, and not the second 1 they told us it was goin to).
Ok i did wait with my 2 accounts for Shiva and finaly its here, now i have been at home for some days with my daughter sick and my usual brake from work is 12-1300 gmt and i have 1 hour off, i go and use this time to play for 30 mins and then get hot dog and back to work.
If i would have idea about uncheduled (how you say it dont matter you get whatim sayin) DT i would stay at work, get 1 hour extra payment and get off work before. But when i go home i use fuel and 1 hour to go and get to Eve for small ammount of time, so when i have payed for EVE, lost payment i could have for this extra hour and used gas it cost a bit.
And there is another thing buddy, when i did read on the album for eve cd it was told what is the minimum playtime ower the month, and to be honest i have been lookin after it and sorry, CCP DONT GET PLAYTIME THAT THEY ANOUNCE thats what called FAKE infos and sellin stuff under wrong anouncment.
So i ask CCP again, what are you gona do about this uncheduled DT all the time.
1. sett dt to 2 hours
2. repay for 2 weeks to all players (that the unscheduled DT for last 3 months)
3. Lower the cost for Eve per month ( you just resently did raise it)
4. Keep on tellin players that loose BS to lagg and unscheduled crash of server that you dont care( have got that answear my self after server did go boom and npc did have me WS)
5. Tell the truth that Eve is still in beta and let ppl play free ( sorry i like the game but that what it seems like many times)
6. keep on deletin post that tell somthing you guys dont like or says somthing about CCP
This is not any kinda harash or attack against CCP, but i think you guys cant keep on deletin posts and not answearin petitions while ppl PAY for the service. Its just me and my thoughts about the future in Eve and my payment.

Deathsoul you know thats not really fair what you said. I remember that when Castor went live we had the same problems as now. So I think that whatever is happenning now is not unexpected. And yet even though it is expected I would rather that this happenned every year for a month in order so that the game remains fresh. Give them a break and take a break too man.

BUT ppl are payin for servic that CCP did say rdy for market, 1 unschedule dt per week and i would not say a word (just like 2 hackers on each cs server in old days) but to be hoonest, how many times in the last 30 days have server been up at right time, if i would read on forums that DT would be from 10-1300 gmt i would not care about it, then i would knew about it and use that time i did schedule for Eve in somthing else.
Maby alot of players are young and dont understand my WHININ, but when i get back from work at 1700 gmt i help my wife with my litle daughter and dont have time for eve untill 2300 gmt and then for 1 hour max 3 tiomes per week, so if CCP are gona keep server runnin like that, with all this late uptimes i must start thingin about what i pay for, i cant play at 12-13 gmt and 30 mins per night is not worth monthly fee for it.
Like i did say, i like EVE and i am rpoud that its Icelandic, but i dont like to be sold things with promise of how it work, pay monthly and get 80% of what i was sold.
If this would be a car that startet 80% of the time i would sell it or throw it into ex owners head and get refund, what would you do ?

Dang, this is only a game, and people get so upset. Maybe they should just stop paying to play and go get another game to spend their time and money on. Of course, they will have a very hard time finding a game that compares to what is offered with EVE, but heck, you don't have to play the best... choose second best and be happy.
Me I am going to stay with the best, as I see EVE being, and to CCP I extend my thanks for providing a game that far exceeds almost anything else currently available.

Dang, this is only a game, and people get so upset. Maybe they should just stop paying to play and go get another game to spend their time and money on. Of course, they will have a very hard time finding a game that compares to what is offered with EVE, but heck, you don't have to play the best... choose second best and be happy.
Me I am going to stay with the best, as I see EVE being, and to CCP I extend my thanks for providing a game that far exceeds almost anything else currently available.
