Zrakor first off ....doing great despite some harsh wrinkles along the way. I'm not complaining at all but ot sure how to address this. Is it a bug? is it intended?
Simply put.
Running for Khanid Navy.
They regularly send me out to kill Amarr and Ammatar navy. Now the Navy kill ships have NO bounties but drop all kinds of loot. On the blockade style multispawn navy kill missions, they regularly fill me BS cargo.
But on the same time, I get a dead space kill mission for Guarista ......which has sometimes as many as 10 to 15 named DREAD guaristas that all have good bounties but rarely if ever drop a can ever.
And when they do.......it's 100 small charges.
I get Sansha, Angel, Guarista DS missions and the guarista's rarely drop anythign, the others do drop some but not one single named drop from any named NPC. Literally have killed hundreds of named NPC via missions at this point and nothing.
Should I be reporting this as a bug for each one of them missions that have me kill 20 ships without one drop?
Not sure what's going on with that and if it is intended to be as such.
To tell ya the truth I almost like the fact that i can go in with a long range BS and snipe 20 ships or more at range in deadspace and be done with it in 5 minutes dock complete mission without all that deadspace slow BS travel to loot it up.
Again not complaining. You got enough complaint threads to deal with. I've read through the mission threads and seems most of them are more about giving you guys a full on flame 3rd degree burn.
just trying to clear that up as to weather it's a bug and should i be reporting that for you.
Thanks for your time Zrakor.

Join the increasingly frustrated list of players who do deadspace missions... To me, it seems the loot is bugged since with normal space missions i get some named and usefull loot once in a while... but with deadspace missions, i normaly giggle after looking at the can left by a megathron and finding... >.< ...exactly.

Its a nerf to give players an incentive to run Player owned stations.

Gierling, you keep saying that. What basis do you have for this? Perhaps a link? If it is indeed a nerf, it's probably the dumbest damn nerf EVER! Ya Hya Chouhada!!! |

The loot is nerfed because 0.0 pilots *****ed that everyone would do lvl 4 missions and never go out to 0.0.
The devs have said that the loot quality will be boosted but its currently "on a programmers desk".

It's a nerf, here is the thread that got it all started IMHO. I think CCP was attempting to appaise people and overdid it myself.

From my observations, mission rats now drop loot or have bounties, not both.

back to .8 systems apoc strip mining then. time to make all the carebears and carerats mad with the strip minging sessions again.
lvl 3 agent missions was a profession in eve now it's a complete joke.
14 hours of missions yesterday and not one good drop and only made about 5 mill. 14 hours.......
complete joke.
if they take away the ability for a character to use lvl 3 missions as a form of career/profession in eve and a way to gain standing or wealth that is on par for a miner then most likely I will quit.
hate to say it but .........
From day one of my birth, I've been running missions for the sake of having a high agent standing as a profession in eve as it's implied. That is what both my characters are/were built for.
If that is gone then so is my reasons for playing eve.

Actually Dead Space Misson = Crap Loot or No Loot with Bounties
Regular Space Mission = Bounties (If Pirate Corp) or No Bounties (Race) but Loot Drops on every Kill (99 percent)....
So, with over 50 pecent of all missions (round numbers) you get now....YOU get screwed out of 50 percent of the loot you normal would get... So, NO Named stuff or melt to minerals junk...
Basically, as X'Alor said... The NERFED THEM TO Hell....especially since AGENTS mission are NOT paying very good lately.... Not to mention Container Drops are like Fertilizer now... Complete Bull Sh*T
And the Risk Vs. Reward Scenario.. RISK has greatly jumped up... Level 3's are not as easy as they were pre-exodus... Carcal PWNED all in Level 3's prior... Now..with at least 3 to 5 Webby Frigs.... BEEP Done Carcal....
I agree....its not a carear anymore.... Its just for grins now....

The deadspace missions actually use the same pirate npcs as the non-mission related deadspaces. There is a reason for this that I'm not going into. But to cut the story short, I am well aware of the loot problem but unfortunately I cannot give you any ETA on when it will be 'fixed'.
1) There is a bug causing the mission rewards to be far below what was intended. This should be fixed soon. 2) The deadspace pirates aren't dropping enough good loot. This is out of my hands at the moment, and therefore difficult for me to comment on.

Yes I have to agree.. It !WAS! fun to do those lvl 3 Kill missions at times they were nice addition to ways to make money.. some mining now, some lvl 3 kill missions after that. Well not anymore. Now they are time sinks. Time sinks that fart at your face. Like thanks for spending 2 hours killing Bountyless cruisers and stuff. Here's your reward 75K now move along and have a nice day.

Zrakor are you saying it is normal now that for example I'm getting loads of Sansha/Serpentis deadspace missions when before Exodus my main ennemies for missions were Angels? Before Exodus you got a certain rat type according to the area where you were doing missions. Are we to conclude that this isn't the case anymore by intention or is it one of many bugs with the current Exodus patches? If you have to change your setup each mission according to the damage the encountered rat will deal.......gets tiresome after a while.
Quote: 1) There is a bug causing the mission rewards to be far below what was intended. This should be fixed soon.
After more than 1.5 years of playing EVE I've really startd to loathe the word "soon". I'm sorry nothing personal, but I've heard it too many times and too many times was "soon" more than an normal person would stomach. For example: it's been 6 months now that a fix for the projectiles has been promised and were still waiting....
Quote: 2) The deadspace pirates aren't dropping enough good loot. This is out of my hands at the moment, and therefore difficult for me to comment on.
It's not even a lack of "good enoguh" loot, it is a lack of loot all together. 75-80% (for me anyway, maybe I'm incredebly unluckyTM) of all rats I've killed so far in deadspace missions didn't drop anything at all. Not even a basic gyrostabilizer. compare that to the "normal missions" and there you see that almost 98% of rats drop something, not rarely a good item(thanks to all the whining of the 0.0 collegues) but at least they drop something......
I'm not really a person to utter threats or anything. But from day one I too have been doing missions. From day 1 I have loathed mining and really couldn't understnd why some people enjoy it. From day one I didn't like PVP, but that's just my playing style, I don't get enjoyment out of hanging by a gate and shooting a hapless indy passing by without even asking for a fee for his life or even having bothered scanning for his cargo (wheres the fabled risk vs reward where all these 0.0 whiners are so full of) in that. if this is the future of missions and things are basicly going to be like it is now except for a few minor changes then I guess EVE hasn't got much more to offer for me.

The deadsdpace missions are configured to occur in a system relevant to the type of pirate occupying the deadspace. If you are getting sanshas missions for example where there are no Sanshas, then that would be a bug. I'll have someone look into it.
