You build'em the same way you build any other ship at a POS, you just use the largest array (which needs some special conditions to anchor) and it takes longer than just about anything else to build. There's nothing else special about building supercaps as opposed to building T1 frigates... you stick all needed materials in with the blueprint, and then you wait.

setup pos with required mods needs freighter 4 for most races haul a ton of cap parts to pos with bpo or bpc build supercarrier if you really want to do it on the test server but with an me 0 bpo will be about 3 hours or so hauling all the parts solo if in same sys as parts seeded

With SC production being a competative process, why would you think anybody would share their efficient methods with you?

I will reiterate what I said above. If you do not know the answers, then you are not ready to build. However, if you are asking for purely scientific wonderment, I will bite.
Here is the ME0 (or base, I forget which) material list to build a Nyx SuperCarrier. You do not need a normal carrier to build one. Therefore you do not need a normal carrier to make it's more awesome older sibling. So, using the above list, gather all the materials and put them in a Capital Ship Assembly Array (which requires your alliance to have sovereignty to anchor). Once everything it in the pot. Bring to a biol and stir frequently. In about 1 month or so, you will have a SuperCarrier stew and you can hotdrop pirates in lowsec like the pros. -----------------------------------

unless in an alliance....any pos you put this in will be a target. If in an alliance, any pos you put this in will be a target....lol. Only thing better than popping csaa is popping a csaa with a baby super cap inside (lost csaa/tower, lost materials for the super cap, moar tears). CSAA stand out and put a pos high up on list of bash targets. Just FYI if you do this.
For corps and alliances, will have to check their rules. Places I have run in will let you run a personal pos...but it puts you on POS slave detail (you want one pos, your are taking care of at least one corp one).
Can solo these, be hard though, have an army of alts shield rep capable final piece of advice. And get a pos gunner...why I recommend a corp, can cut a corp mate or 2 in on the action, done right sper caps have a nice healthy roi

You need Sovereignty over a 0.0 system to anchor the required assembly array, so you'll want to be in an Alliance. The Alliance needs to be capable of taking and holding Sov while you build your supercap.

Moving the minerals to the build location can be a pain in the ass so using a service to package the minerals for you would make your life easier. As for the minerals and how to build that is up to each specific builder on how they wish to handle the logi on this.
Now on to another question along these lines; How do you secure your baby when its cooking? Anyone with the same roles can cancel it yes? I just am asking as I am in a size-able corp and the thought that some who doesn't like me could cancel the build and as there is no way to track the canceling of jobs I didn't know what or how to proceed.
And I am not the first person to think that a size-able corp could have a few people in it that are out to get them.

So create another corp within the Alliance, specifically for creating super-caps. As POS roles are corp based, only people in the super-cap building corp can cancel the job (there are a few little issues, like making sure you don't get kicked from the Alliance and the usual defence issues, but if your Alliance wants you to build super-caps, then they'll likely manage those issues for you). ______________________ Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University |

I know a guy who got into building supercap business back in early '09 (it was mothership back then). He invested some amount of iskies (it was and is a lot for me btw.) for supercap production pos, ship/compo bpo, mineral, and alliance protection fee to run supercap production line.
At the end? he got out with empty hands.
Observing him spending endlessly, working tirelessly, and being grieved mercilessly was one of the priceless lessons I took from the entire course of EVE.
Come back to forum when you successfully blowup or make "some amount of iskies" after all. I'd like to hear your story, bro. |

You can still melt carriers to get the required capital components to build a SC. A quick numbers check would require anywhere from 15-21 carriers depending on SC BPC ME aswell as refining skills, station refining level, taxes.
Now if this is the most efficient way or not I don't know.
