A Minmatar Fleet entering Amar Hi Sec has freed the 10,000 slaves held aboard the Navy Issue Geddon--the not so MightSword of Amar. Sadly Bucky a member of the valiant Captain Vaguy Fleet did lose his Thrasher to Imperial Navy Sergeants escorting the slave ship in Tuomuta. Yet his pod was safely guided to our reship center.
The rejoying among the freed captives was deafing as the victorious Thrasher fleet docked in Auga Third (a well known site for freedom fighter logistical training). The crowd shouted with radiant warmth at the worn out two score friendly fleet members. Titus Brutus Victor from Killed in Action roared, "The MightSword Flagship is no more".
A Caldari Fleet was dispatched to Tuomuta to assist the flagging morale of the Amar but their late arrival is a foot note to the loyal Minmatar Republic fleet of combat veterans rather than any headline. Let this be a lesson for those new to the conflict, "We need nothing but heart and a good Thrasher to turn the tide", said Captain Vaguy as he departed the fleet to cleanse the belts of pirates.

Feel free to take solace in this kill as indeed it isn't an easy kill to get in enemy controlled high security space.
Just like the numbers of the Minmatar Militia and her support ...... so are the hulls of golden fleet of the Amarr.
I am Caldari by blood flying beside my brother Amarr and pledge more fighting ships to those that will fly them.
Even the Mighty-sword can not take on a whole fleet on its own, your words are lacking in wisdom to suggest other wise.

I'm not.
"My People" in the Republic base the entire reason for their mighty war machine on the idea that they're "liberating the people." If the average Republic citizen knew that it, like any other war, was a drive to control more territory and resources, they'd space all the Elders, sell all the warships and demand that everyone gets a house and enough food to eat.

Let me just clear up a few points here:
First, Pilot Vailatti's "people" are in the empire. As she so proudly loves to proclaim, she's an Amarrian citizen not a Republic citizen. She's Ammatar, not Minmatar. There's a huge difference.
Secondly, the Republic Fleet exists (as do the navies of the other major powers) to defend our people, sovereignty and territorial integrity against external threats. It is not used as an offensive tool to expand the power or influence of the Republic.
Thirdly, the comment regarding military spending could be said for any of the major powers. This is a false dichotomy however. It's entirely possible to provide for both the defense and the well-being of citizens. Furthermore, I doubt that anyone in the Republic, Federation, State or Empire would seriously advocate for completely dismantling the military and using that money for social spending alone. To do so would be an open invitation for another nation-state or multi-territory criminal organization to invade which would pretty much defeat the whole idea of attempting to raise everyone's standard of living.
I really do wish people who don't live in the Republic would quit with the lies about our citizens living in the streets, hungry, unclothed and uncared for. It's NOT TRUE! It's simply Amarr propaganda to justify their reclaiming. Sorry Pilot Vailatti, but we would most assuredly not be better off living as Vitoc addicted cattle under the "care" of your Amarrian masters, no matter how you try to spin it.

"Zakara saw the danger to his brother, and did not hesitate; without weapon or armor, he hurled himself at the beast, attacking with his bare hands. Enraged, the beast turned and struck Zakara, opening a terrible wound in his side. Seizing the moment, Garum ran his sword through the beast's heart, thus ending the battle victorious. But Zakara, mortally wounded, cried out in pain. You sacrificed yourself for me,' Garum said, taking his hand.
"We are brothers,' Zakara answered, just before breathing his last. 'And in God we shall remain brothers for all of time." The Scriptures, Saint Junip 10:25

Amazing. Obviously this guy deserves sainthood and a planet-sized cathedral erected in his honor Aemilia.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 27/05/2010 12:10:35 The philosophy of the Empire is to keep the status quo. This philosophy means to keep the Matar as a race of slaves, to establish a reign of terror of those who have everything on those who own nothing. It is a system of injustice.
You see this philosophy on every Amarrian ship - heavy armor and resistances to stay in place - no speed to change the things. It's static. It's stagnation. It's overcome.
With our philosophy comes the change. Comes the freedom, the daring, the rise of the barbarian virtues like braveness, brotherhood, daring and swiftness. The smart warrior, the underdog, the rebel. We are all rebels because the world that is left to us by Amarr and Amarr Empire is nothing that we can leave for our children untouched.
For the future of our children, our brothers and sisters, our comrades that suffer under the whip in the Empire, we come for our people. We fly swift frigates, daring Thrashers and fast Stabbers against the wall of armor of Imperial Navy class battleship.
We come for a change. We are the movement, you are the mountain. But the rain washes away the mountain and we are fed by the rain of a billion tears of Matari slaves who suffered for generations under the whip of Amarr.
This is what it's all about.

Edited by: zero2espect on 30/05/2010 09:38:17 The Sword's sacrifice is just a minor setback in the grand scheme of things. The price was asked to be paid, it was paid in full and it shall be forever remembered as the gesture of noble sacrifice that it was.
The hit and fade tactics deployed by the minmitar forces met an abrupt end at 21:13 28/5 when their fleet comprising mainly of thrasher class hulls, was pinned between the Tuomuta stargate and a sheer wall of concentrated laser bursts from an Amarrian Militia fleet. Militia forces report that of the 25 vessels in the terrorist fleet only 5 survived as they fled back to their nest located in the nearby Auga star system.
There was no cause for joy or celebration within the Amarrian Militia fleet upon so much of the "heart" being cut out from the minmatar terrorist forces - just a sense of duty being served.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 30/05/2010 11:44:56 The swift striking forces of freedom recently were roaming the warzone with invincable gangs of Thrashers. And they will go on with this fast hit and run tactics.
How many Amarr fell prone to our gangs? Countless. Is the Thrasher indestructable - nobody ever flying a Thrasher would say this. The ship is cheap, it's small. It's fast. It has lots of firepower and it is the embodiment of the Matar spirit - attack! Attack! Attack!
Let the Amarr deal with such boring tactics like tanking.
While 20 lost simple tech fitted Thrashers cost not more than two million ISK each - after insurance payout - how much do cost the armada of Amarrian tankships?
And where are the hunting gangs that kill efficiently days over days like the Scythe of the Reaper like our do among the 24th Crusaders?
The Amarr will never understand that to lose a whole fleet in a fight that is fun is better than to lose one single ship in a fight that has no honour, no daring, no pride. Boring gatecamping or such.
On that specific battle I can not see one single ship on the Amarr side that is not at least worth four times a Thrasher. And I am sure that more of them bit the dust than the one Arbitrator that you can find on the Amarr killboard. But Matar engages - we are not beancounting the chances of survival, we do not wait until halve a dozen logistic ships come to join us, we do not meet in highsec to form our fleets.
We do it under your nose.
Swift, daring and dashing. I'm proud of our Milita. They make even a lost fight look like a win. I just had to giggle when I saw the effort that Amarr was taking to compensate for this single Thrasher fleet. They brought everything on battlefield they could. We just came with a bunch of destroyers.

Gosh. They brought a Crucifier. That was a daring move, I admit.
Alica giggles.
Well done, Minmatar Milita! But of cause this Crucifier is something so unthinkable of an Amarr fleet that I simply was not able to see it first. Unthinkable! Crucifier! They bring in a t1 frigate!
I have to ask for sorry a thousand times of cause now.
