If you never saw Lost, do yourself a favour and watch this excellent movie : Jacob's Ladder , same story except its not a 6 years tv show scam.

I decided on the movie once and chose Jacobs Ladder, I never got to pick another movie after that with that group of friends.

Ashes to Ashes (english sci-fi/cop drama) had a similar ending only pulled it off far better and in 3 short series.

For an ending to six seasons of building up mysteries, that was crap. The 24 finale was better.
By the way, JJ Abrams had no involvement with the ending. Blame Carlton Cuse and Damian Lindelof.
