Baun (FA) you asked what was in for CA in this deal.
I will tell you what was in for them, their own future.
By excluding Stain in those talks and giving you the chance to slander them and Xetic in a very "unallylike" way they effectively alienated you from your allies.
Splitting up the hostile camp is it called.
First CFS, now Stain and Xetic, im sure CA feels cozy with all its opposition beeing busy elsewhere and having grudges instead of unity amongst each other.
This diplomatic masterpiece will surely reach its 20 pages run and im quiet interested on Stain and Xetics reaction, reading how untrustworthy and spinless crawlers they are and how easily you would sell them out, or should we better say "keep them occupied"?
Most ironic however is the fact that EVEM lead the talks with the "pirates" of TPS and FE and dont hesitate, seems you sell your old values quick these days baun & co, Gurex and the other old chunks would have prolly left the channel on the suggestion of cooperating with hupa and ppl who publically are proud to be pirates and griefers....

Edited by: Kcel Chim on 08/12/2004 02:50:07 P.S. to all saying this is "old" material, dont forget its from 4 weeks back and in the meantime we had a huge patch and some pre and afterpatch issues, with ppl beeing in empire waiting for the game to stabilize and playing with all the new toys and gimmeks.
So infact this talk could have happened yesterday without any difference (remember the critical db error just today showing things are not back to normal)

Hehe.
This is quite funny stuff. Not a bad idea tbh, but Halseth especialy underestimates the cunning of the Xirt. I remember how I and fellow CA talked about PA 6 months back. It might be different now, but could all be reversed in another month given cause. Baun was quite right to question the intentions of CA. Altho his obvious lack of respect for his allies against CA might be a bit disturbing.
I am touched by your common hatred for us btw. Too bad it leaked out, I bet we would have enjoyed this plan had it come to fruition. _______________________________________________

Its not until you read these chatlogs of alliance politix, when they start talking about their councils and commanders and NAPs and blobs that you realise just how lucky you are not to be in one. Im surprised you guys ever get anything done.

CA sees bob as a threat, they can't take BoB on because BoB isn't bringing the fight to them, and CA can't afford to bring the fight to BoB. Since PA can't do the job of keeping BoB occupied they now want PA to get support. Clearly this is a scheme to get PA back on its feet with the help of FA. Halseth even says PA won't support FA in their space.
[ 2004.11.10 06:56:18 ] Halseth Durn > anyway, PA is not commited to any plan of sending military assistance to FA space.
The reason FA probably didn't agree to this pact with PA is because they aren't scared of BoB and they think they can hold their own.
If that really is true then props to FA for realizing CA and PA were scheming up a plan because they're desperate to kill BoB.
Just my personal view on this.

Doesnt everyone always have schemes like this cooking? Nothing ever came of it, as nothing ever does 99% of the time. Ive talked through a million plans, but only get to do one in the end.

That reminded me of one council meeting where the representatives were asked to vote if they need to vote on some issue.

And then there are a number of people that do.
Just because some of us have friends in FA does not mean we donÆt want to fight some FA, like the people that put us on KOS when we were in MACE. Like you Angelhunter. So donÆt be fooling yourself, buddy.
But, we fallow orders, or people die, so...
P.S. Good idea not to align with CA. Nothing but trouble.

Apparently you didnt realize that this is why I was busting Xirt's balls throughout the entire Convo. Also if you noticed I explicitly stated that nothing would be done on this front indipendent of SA.
