Which of the main "heavyweights" decided to make this public with the alt character at the start of the thread I wonder? Thats almost more interesting than what was said.
[ 2004.11.10 07:37:50 ] Baun > ciao. [ 2004.11.10 07:38:20 ] <- XirtamVotf has left the channel [ 2004.11.10 07:38:29 ] Halseth Durn > adios.
Lol, I'm betting it wasn't XirtamVotf for obvious reasons
i guess halseth posted it on their internal boards and from there on... -------------------------------------------

Do I think this is a sign of desperation. Not really. It doesn't surprise me that CA tries this. They do have the short end of the stick in terms of public views on their organization.
Time will tell how these things flesh out. I find it rather amusing.

I miss the old days, where we knew we could rely on eachother (this is almost a year ago now though). Nowadays the old alliances such as SA/SE and FA are so crowded with new people who have no clue on the alliance history and don't understand the mutual friendship between SA/SE and FA.
There are very few founding members left in both alliances, which means that "incidents" occur. It happened to me aswell when I was in FA and I had to deal with SA, luckily TRIGGER was always there to sort situations. I'm sure this will get sorted out aswell by the oldtimers left in both alliances.
Should FA ally with CA though, I'll be very disappointed in them.
thats one thing thats cool about this game IMO Its a game and if you can get by a few old scraps you open up lots of new fun things. There are lots of people and corps who were one side then another and people could accept that its a game. Bob/atuk is a perfect example of this.
Granted the history does get muddled too but sometimes people and things change and EVOLving your point of view towards someone can be for the better.

If you notice the header on the convo, it is obviously from my chat journal. As with all high level diplomatic negotiations, I shared important communiques with the top level brass in PA on a secure forum for discussion and debate. Since that is the only place it was ever posted, there is your source. However, I don't see how posting a month old chat log about plans contengent on EVOL attacking FA could possibly accomplish anything of any value. I think its just a case of someone getting passed classified information wanting to feel important.
Hal
P.S. If I was still in PA, heads would roll for this kind of flagrant security breach.

Of course if someone had recently left PA due to a difference of opinions and had a copy of this chatlog anyway they would never post it themselves, would they?
The source of this chatlog is perhaps not as convoluted as some of the speculative audience may be thinking.
Of course anything could be possible right Halseth?

Edited by: Friday Dillinja on 09/12/2004 08:37:25 You're still using that Tamar char, frst?

Anyway, nice log, seems a tad outdated by the events during the last month tho.
Edit: Oh... and about the "old times". This should've been a fake convo, followed up by a "hahahah omg mighty CA pvp'ers begging carebears for help" thread on the eve boards. Lots of smack and laugh on Xirtam's expense. But noooooo....

Edited by: Rebellion on 09/12/2004 09:31:35 You have a good memory Arty, but the details you are deducing may not be precise. However, it might not be relevant at all as you already have figured out what was left available for figuring out on that avenue. Then again, maybe what you discovered wasn't really being hidden, just being obscured a little so that the content would be viewed for itself, rather than for the messenger.
Anyway, retired? If there are no longer any knots that need untying someone has to create them Mr Dillininja. Perhaps people have settled into routine these past 8 months. Someone has to set some pants on fire.

True. I'm always up for some nice plots and scheming.
But posting a one-month old log isn't really that interesting imo. You should've added a bit more spice to it. I miss good written propaganda.

Edit: "Mr Dillininja" - You're still doing it. I love you.

True, anything is possible, but as I said before, the source is PA council forums. If this is an attempt at a sly accusation in my direction, don't *****foot through the tulips, son. Just come out and say it. But before you do, remember: I don't use alts, am not invested in this toddler war anymore, and I have ZERO to gain from posting this irrelevant log.
Anywho, how it got to this forum is inconsequetial next to the complete irrelivance of the content. The subject in the chatlog is benign and no longer relevant so I fail to see how this even warrants more than 1 page of forum attention.
