I jumped in my pod and flew (in my pod) a couple of jumps. When I got into the ship i wanted I got an insurance email. they gave me a new ship + some trit. No isk though.
Bug?

That doesn't seem right to me. You should report it as an exploit, so CCP can fix it before players flood the game with cheap trit and crash the mineral market.

You should research the moongoo cheaters. Only 1 or 2 people there reported it and CCP dismissed the reports because there were so few. If you don't act now I predict something similar will happen here with the trit market, tell us so we can help report it now before it's too late!

There used to be a bug where you would get an insurance payout without losing a ship to combat.
It went like this:
Log out in your pod and when you logged on again you would have a insurance payout mail waiting. But when you look through your stock of ships you would find one had gone missing.
This was a known bug (supposedly only effected lower value ships)don't know if they ever fixed this though.

The amount of trit you get is normally 1 piece, so hardly a flood actually hardly even a drip.
