In the years i have flown them and the watching them get nerfed over and over makes me kinda mad tbh. But some ships are still pretty good, like the Mega its not all that bad at anything but not really good at anything either, the one place it lacks is close range the blasters just dont have that little bit of extra range that Amarr and now Minmatar have, i think you can train up torps to shoot further. but the DPS is great at range but generally in CR fleets you end up with a 425mm rails with faction hybrid. as for a sniper its not the best but it works well. Hyperion is just redundant without any real gains for the cost of the hull. Brutix is just Fun and pure win for the buck, best tier 1 BC imo! Domi is a great all around ship with many different fitting combos and jobs it can do,again some could say best tier 1 BS but the geddon is so awesome as well imo both are pure win for the buck! The ceptors, best ceptors in game imo! The Ishtar is a cool ship,but not that great in medium to large PVP roams and fleet ops but solo or small gangs good fun. as for deimos it sucks to compared to all the other race's Hacs and i would say it even sucks compared to the Brutix. So Gallente still have some good ships, not many but a few still and i think it still sucks more being Caldari imo!

(I ride the Minmamrarr wave) ishtar/ishkur are very good ( like the worm and gila better tbh ), Domi in a RR gang is Win. Hyperion might still be the best 1v1 BS in EVE. Razu, Nemesis, Comet, and Myrm are also quite solid vs their competition. That said, CCP realy does need to take a second look at ALOT of gal ships. They've fallen far behind their contemporaries in a number of ways. Aside from the Vex, Domi and Myrm, where's the drones ? The average gal ship has a slight advantage over their contemporaries but not enough to compensate for the gimp range of blasters or the Kin/Therm only dps. You'd best guess right when you undock who your opponent will be or you're going down. And remember to recall drones before bailing from a fight or you're double screwed. No room for spares except in cargo. Diemos/Phobos - they fail all by themselves let alone when compared to the other races. Gal get the rep bonus, amar get the resist bonus. Why are Amar Navy reppers and resists both better than Fed Navy ?? Could we maybe get one or the other to make Fed Navy LP a little less then junk. Navy Exeq is the only ship to loose slots and drone bay while getting ' buffed '. There's a reason it's almost never on contracts or it's dirt cheap, and why the Navy Aug and Omen sell for top dollar. Show us some love CCP. We're overdue :)

As to why I fly Gallent,e mainly because of RP and because I don't really care what ship I have I when I do PvP. Im not sure why people think the dominix is great...its an ok BS that you can afk mission in but it will take you 4x the time to run lvl 4s than a CNR. It makes a decent enough PVP as a neut boat/Hospital boat...otherwise I can think of other ships that fill the PVP/PVE roles better.

I dont know, I trained everything up for a Moros but I've never used one, Mega still has it's uses as a sniper, domi still has it's uses. But now I have mini cruiser 5 & T2 med projectiles I dont have much reason to fly anything Gallente below BS size... As far as command ships, hacs, cruisers & such go no gallnte ships are as useful as the mini ones I have in my hanger... Until I soon found out that only a small amount of their ships were actual dedicated drone boats, most of the ships were blaster boats which I didn't like. Gallente doesn't even have a true t1 drone frigate(imicus doesn't count). The Vexor is fine. The Myrmidon needs a more drone bandwidth and a bigger drone bay, not to mention its passive shield tank works better than active armor tank. The Dominix is good, but its an ugly ship. I think Gallente needs more drone focus. The Eos is a horrible ship and the Proteus can't even field 5 heavies.
