I'm sorry, the look of those bulky dark clay humps isn't really my taste.
That said, the Nyx (and a few other ships) looks nice enough!

Though I must admit, that disadvantage has opened a lot of new avenues for fitting by thinking outside of the "must put hybrids on every gallente ship" school of thought.

I fly ishtar for pve and have one pvp fit but never really use it. I love arazu for dropping 20 stealth bombers on some ratter's forehead (Imo best ship for covert cyno).

Ummm....well I fly the Navy Megathron a lot recently, partly because I personally think its one the best looking ships in the game. I also find it a bit awkward to use for missioning which is a nice challenge. Im still not sure of the final fit for it before Ill be satisfied Im getting the best out of it. 25 m3 extra drone bay would be nice for it too.

Dominix actually outperforms the CNR in kin/therm missions, it just requires really good skills and an unconventional fit (IE 425s and a shield tank) Overall assuming you run missions in caldari or gallente space the plain old vanilla domi will pretty evenly match the CNR overall (and I say this having t2 weapon skills and BS 5 for both)
Domi can also OD the megathron if gank fit.
Or have a better hero tank than the myrm while still being good at killing things (~500 DPS may not be much on its own, but with neuts or RR, or both, the domi can be pretty beastly)
And yes, the domi is also the best afk mission boat out there, with an entry skill requirement so low a domi pilot can be soloing lvl 4s while still in the rookie help chat.
Overall the domi isn't best at anything, save maybe afk missionning, but it's at least in the top 5 for several different potential roles, which is what makes it so awesome. |

Although now that I think about I haven't undocked a Gallente ship except a shuttle, an Ishkur (though not since getting a Worm), and a Dominix in... wow. Probably over a year.
Fake edit: Itty, Itty 5, and Viator should also count. I guess.
I just can't find a reason to undock anything else in the Gal lineup. For some reason I think the Gila is the ugliest drone boat followed by the Ishtar followed by the Vexor -- all of which makes the Domi look vaguely acceptable. And that's just a sad statement. (The Myrm is hawt. It's also utterly useless at everything I do wherein I couldn't get a better Domi build; it's out of the running too.)

You can get the full 100 km overheated RF point range with a mindlinked max-skilled Loki. That'll push a FN web on a Rapier to 100 km as well.
