Lets make a new one now that we know what Tyrannis brings...
1¦ Fix lag so EVE becomes a MMOG again. 2¦ Faction Battlecruisers and more T3 ships 3¦ Corporation menu/options/roles revamped 4¦ Old cyno/jump effects back (also, am I the only one missing the system name displayed in the broadcasted cyno beacon?) 5¦ T3 modules ________________________________________

Mass bug fixing effort on overview - possibly a whole revamp, plz.
It's one of the most important parts of the game and it's really quite buggy.
T3 cruisers were a brilliant addition in Apochrypha. Moar plz! T3 frigates perhaps?
T2 versions of tier 2 battlecruisers.
And overall CCP love for us PVPers. It's cool that they're courting our industry friends with Tyrannis - but PVP is really in need of some all-around attention in the next patch.
And a not-a-huge-deal thing that would make the game even prettier and more diverse:
1. Nebula skyboxes - revamp them! We see the same ones over and over - how about a dynamically created skybox, unique for each system? And unless you intend New Eden to take place in a giant star forming region, and not a dwarf satellite of the Milky Way as I believe has been hinted at, it's really not necessary to see a nebula from every system.
2. Station hangars. More variety! Can we have more than one hangar environment for each station's racial type? Even if you just added one more for each race, that'd be cool. Perhaps a smaller hangar for 0.0 outposts vs. full-sized stations.
3. EVE has reasonably terrible astronomy. Many people think that isn't the case, but it's really quite true (trust me ). Simple things could be done to make it better - and cooler. For example - binary systems! The majority of stars are in binaries, yet none exist in EVE.

Seriously though, that's what I'm hoping for. Though I'd not be bothered by a couple of optimisation-focussed dev cycles in the meanwhile. Plus, Incarna's development is largely being done on the side anyway, the expansion itself will probably be, for the most part, making the servers play nice with it.

The propability that Incarna is in the next expansion is about the same as CCP starting to sell EVE themed realdolls on EVE-store.
I would hope one of the framework features gets some love and multiple additional features, that help to better manage things in the game. Hoping for lag reducing actions during the summer after the normal expansion blues.

The things which should be fixed in the incremental Tyrannis patches: - Fix the pressing lag issues. My specialty is scalability and distributed systems so I realize just how hard this might be. ;-) - Minor weapon balance issues: Roflkets, Hybrids - Minor ship balance issues: Under/over performing faction ships, adding fittings on some of the not so awesome ships - Reworking the UI - specifically science/industry, POSes, F11 panel, BPO/BPC handling, and market. - Finishing Planetary Interaction

I've seen a few binary systems in EVE, you need to go through those scary wormholes.

Well, like I said, I wouldn't mind if the next couple of dev' cycles were based on optimisation, fixing, and expanding current content. I mean, at the moment, what else is there to do? The only major projects left are Planetary Interaction, EVE Gate, DUST 514, and Incarna. Of those, Incarna is the only one that isn't either slated for incremental modification and doesn't have a dedicated dev' team - it's the only 'big thing' current left on the 'short term' development list.
I doubt it'll be in winter, too, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the one after that, and seriously weirded out if it took more than another 18 months.

Although I certainly agree about how every system is in a giant nebula, the used a bit of handwavium to explain why gates aren't at binary stars, something about them not allowing for stable gates...
They're also fixing the planet stupidity, and making the suns look less like amorphous blobs (although they were pretty).
Mostly though, I'd like the next expansion to be the "Revisit" expansion, where they go back, look at all the crap in the game that is useless, like bounties, faction warfare, etc., and make it all reasonably work again. Also, make the UI less crap. And POSes, are they even possible to fix? I remember hearing something about them screwing it up so badly that its essentially a messy block of spaghetti stackless python code, and that to fix it they'd have to remove it and completely redo it.
I'm just going to go ahead and blame POSes on Tuxford.

Actually, It's the other way around, According to the backstory gates can ONLY be built at binary stars.
Quote: Jump gates are built around artificial wormholes, created by exploiting gravitational resonances found in binary systems.

Well scratch what I said, thank you for correcting me.
Which begs the question, WTFH CCP, if they can only be built in binary systems, then wheres the second star?
Oh well, I suppose its because they couldn't make them when the game came out.
So CCP, are you planning on fixing this contradictory information in the science article, or fixing the suns?

The second star is hidden in the first star. So, ALL systems have binary stars but you'll NEVER see the second one. Or something like that.

Frankly I think they'd do better to just archive and replace that old scientific article; it practically pre-dates the in-game stargates themselves, anyway.

- Fix the battleships texture quality (hyperion ) - fix gfx effects (all) - fix sound and juke box
- Boost battleships, so they can be used in solo\small gang pvp again (acceleration, tracking, dps upon the small targets) - reduce a time sink (less session changes, boosted warp speed for all ships)
- a real graphic content in PI. - more gm-events

hard to say if none exist. most binary stars are far enough apart we'd not notice the partner star after all.

Edited by: Cora Namoor on 26/05/2010 14:33:43 I want to see pirate faction warfare for sov of low sec from the 4 empires.
I want corp research, leadership, and corporate management directors that apply bonuses to the whole corp for having the right person in charge of that division. This could lead to tech 3 research and tech 3 bpc's, but be dependant on highly skilled characters being in a corp for an extended amount of time till the tech 3 research options unlock.
I want new ships, new revamps like the scorpion for all the old ships. I want player made anomallies or DED's. Why have a cap blob be the deciding factor in null sec. If you can make a defendable DED better defended then a single pos it would change the way null sec combat works. You might flip sov but the old owner would be hard to drag out of their entrenched DED pocket.
I want PI industry to lead to new POS structures and player made DED structures.
Thought I'd throw some new ideas into the mix.

Not entirely true. Whilst it is extremely common for the massive O and B class stars to have a star companion (80% or so), only 25% of red dwarfs have a companion, and it is estimated that some 80-85% of all stars in the Milky Way are red dwarfs.
