Autoupdate failed after ingame downloading due to "not enough HDD space" during installation phase.
Error message box reported "This update requires 3GB of space." -- 4 GB of free space were available.
Rerunning EVE and the update process makes the autoupdater clobber up your remaining space, as obviously temporary files aren't removed again after a failed update process. Reboot fixed the bloody mess.
With 7 GB of free space update was possible.

everytime I try to install it, it uses about .5 of a gig up? wtf? I just uninstalled my 2nd eve client and some more stuff, at 61.xx GB Free now and still not dl'ing /facepalm

i have 170gb of space
This volume does not have the space required to update. This update requires 3GB of space. (c)

Maybe try using a manual patch vs the in-game patch system.. I've never had a problem with this method yet: http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=&test=&system=mac

Auto update ran fine for me, it was just VERY VERY slow

Hi all,
Those of you who have this problem, can you please file a bug report about it?
We're specifically looking for information regarding your:
- OS version
- Harddrive configuration (multiple ones?) as much information as you can give
- Install location
Mark the bug report "Mac: Not enough HDD space"
