before patch missions in the same system were the rule , missions next system were hapening sometimes. Today I keep pulling mission 3 or 4 systems away. And no - 100 people in a system isn't too much , I never ever get lag, and with today's loots I don't even bother to salvage - hell if I see a ninja salvager I'd blue the wrecks so the poor guy can make more than 100k isk.
Why is it CCP hates missioneers so much???
Fine they want people to mine - ohh look it's a pretty rock , wow my cargohold is full , move that to a can . Oh the joy of high octane gaming .... I really do not see how can anything be more boring- with missions you at least shoot. And have (or had ) the chance of some good loot.
I never trained for a marauder, I guess that's a lost cause now. In pvp all that maters is who's got the bigger blob, and WH require more organization than my casual gaming can handle. Hmmm...

change agents styles and/or hub. Don't like the food at the restuarant...usually a good idea to not go back there again. Did this a few times actually. Intentionally downgraded a quality point or 2 and changed mission agent style since got tired of denying the same friggin low sec run mission every day lol.

You know what's in those days? Jita gank. CCP hardcapped Jita to 1000 ppl, so rest have to wait in quene at gates. All kinds of delicious loot ripe for the picking. Happy shopping.

Really?
I'm disappointed in the griefers of EVE that a thousand-odd of them haven't got together to sit in Jita permanently and just block out the system.
@OP: Move to a less crowded area, or - gasp - travel those 3 or 4 jumps. Problem solved.

I agree with the OP, as for those of you that can only do smacktalk, take it somewhere else.

The loot nerf, although a kick to the hardcore missioners income, isn't that big of a deal. Yes, it encourages people to manufacture more. Fighting is supposed to be a costly thing, you know. With the future influx of material from planetary facilities, items might spike in price for a while, but eventually settle down to a mellow rate.
It's a wee bit tougher to get a PLEX via missioning. That's about it.

Edited by: Gligan on 28/05/2010 10:45:45 As I said I feel sorry for the ninjas. Their income has completely melted. I would gladly let people into my mission to loot/ salvage. Hell I'd fleet them but as many times I've asked in local if somebody cares to loot , I've rarely met any such people.
my concern is that my blitzing income(which has gone down since I can't loot the ocasional BS wreck in range of my tractor) goes way down since traveling 4 jumps and back is 10 minutes of me not doing much.
So instead of doing 3-4 missions an hour now I do 2-3.
Edit: Just read your comment about devs not missioning - I really doubt they also mine. But I guess they invested so much into developing mining - what with t2 ships(both barges? and command ) , strip miners and such , that they can't just say - we screwed up , mining isn't as fun as we thought it would be and have to keep investing into it to keep it from being a dead aspect of the game. A lot like the house lending economy in the US.

This has far more impact on people like me that run lowsec level 4's. While I find it odd that CCP would force missioners to jump 3-4 gates to get to a mission in high sec and just burn time, it is really strange to me that they would do it to missioners in lowsec. It may actually stop people from missioning in lowsec and dry it up even further, as the risk of losing a pve ship to a gatecamp is everpresent, and even when scouting yourself you are truly only partially effective at avoiding gatecamps.
I think this 'change' was meant to nerf level 5 missions in high sec, which I am also disgusted with, but the other effects it is having on the lowsec missioning community will be devastating.

Actually, I was playing Eve, my way, and not just carebearing. I was ninja salvaging/looting. It was a mix of carebearing and pvping with a decent income. I say carebearing because I'm a loner type. In order for me to leave hisec and have any kind of success requires that I join a corp for survival in losec/nullsec. Now I've joined a few corps in my time. But it always turns out the same. I don't like being in corps. So there is no effective way for me to survive in lo/nullsec.
Eve gave me a toy to play with and then took it away and killed my income by 80% in the process.

This. WTF ccp? I thought you wanted lowsec to get MORE population.

Just had a storyline courier mission, the one with the transaction data. Used to make me go maybe 3 jumps to get it. Now it was over 10 jumps in low sec.
Yeah...
Also apparently the courier revamp works on not just couriers but combat missions too. I've already had to turn down a number of good missions because they make me go to low sec even though the low sec is over 3 jumps away.

Firstly, I know I'm a contradiction and an asshat.
If you're playing an mmo solo I have to ask what's the point? You might as well play http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X3_Reunion Then you don't have to worry about joining a corp or any of that. And it's entirely acceptable to not play a game because it's not what you want, I hate sports game, so I don't play em.
When I say play the game yourway, I mean "take what the game is and play it your way" there's mild difference.
It's like playing football and doing all them fancy jump in the air kicks compared to turning upto a football game with a tennis racket.

Quote: If you're playing an mmo solo I have to ask what's the point?
'cause it's a good game and you like to play it.
And the rules of the game don't force you into a fleet... plenty of people do their thing solo full time.
In fact...
This seems to be the case in most MMOs. Most people spend most of the time solo. They get together when they need to, and sometimes just for fun, but it's not the norm for people to be grouped at all times.
You know what...
Quote: If you're playing an mmo solo I have to ask what's the point?
The rule is you can never say this unless you've never not been in a group in any game you've ever played, literally, without exaggeration.
