So what are we supposed to Test on SiSi then?? Very useful!. At the very least can you update the Test server FAQ to reflect reality? |

I've not understood why they (CCP) have resisted giving us the tools we need to test. I guess they only want people with BH rights and above testing stuff.

Its a TEST server. Test what you know. Make sure what you know and do WORKS. Let others worry about the new stuff you can't use or afford.

Thats pretty closed minded of you. My wallet can change by hundreds of millions a day, but since there really isn't a player controlled market on the TEST server, nor should there be, the stuff should be freely available.

But given how EVE is to large degree combat game, isn't it actually good thing when players can test all aspects of PvP and PvE combat and in case they encounter bugs, they're provided with means to replicate the very exact conditions in which the bug occured (ship setups etc) ... as opposed to nearly no one doing any testing at all, because replacing one's ship takes actually much longer on 'test' server than it takes on 'real' server?
There is very little point in telling people to 'come to test server and test new balance of propulsion modules' or whatever, when getting a hold on every little piece of junk we're supposed to test takes bloody ages and in some cases is simply impossible -- e.g. i was unable to check performance of new afterburners with the battlecruisers because hey, there's no battlecruisers on sale on test server, and the original blueprints are way too expensive for me to play with.
Same with things like testing the deadspace complexes and whatnot -- people lose ships in these things in droves, often due to bugs. But if they can't enter such complex enough times to test it reliably because their characters aren't rich enough to afford buying ships over and over, and they don't have enough time to travel all around the test server to get the equipment for these ships... just what sort of testing are you expecting to be done?
Somehow i doubt Polaris bughunters are doing much of testing without their handy /spawn command... yet this is exactly what you're asking the players to do.
