This only happens when you guys are in a fleet, right?
This is a bug and it will be fixed soon. If you guys notice that the overview is not updating properly, click the overview tab and it should start working again. Also, I believe it helps to change the overview filters so your fleet members are filtered out.

Can you confirm that the 3s overview update is a bug as well, or did you just decide to nerf range-sensitive ship like that?
The update rate has not been changed but there are now less full reloads of the overview when in fleet

So is it a bug or a feature... two very conflicting responses in the same thread, And the 2nd quote is a contradiction in itself how can it both be not changed yet reloading less often
Well, yes, I guess you could say it's a contradiction, but let me try to explain what I meant :
The bug is that the overview is kind of frozen, it does not update distances and resort (that is normally done without total reload of the scroll). We have not changed the rate at which this update is supposed to happen. However, we did make some changes to the overview so it's not constantly reloading when you are in fleet (which is something people have been complaing a lot about).
The bug will be fixed very soon.

In short, will we require to drop fleet to have the overview update normally after the bug is fixed?
After the bug is fixed, the overview will update normally for fleets (that is, just the same as if you were not in a fleet)

And will that update time be like it was before the patch?
Yes, it should be the same, nothing has been changed that should affect that (as far as I know).
