well i say FIX THE DAMN THINGS i belive ccp have released a half finished product and it is quite right that people are unhappy. I want to know why deadspace missions were released without the improvements to afterburners that are planned on the dev blog. These missions seem beta to me and completely unfinished. The basics are there and i can see deadspace having a lot of potential as long as we don't have to rescue the damsel 50 times in a row. Maybe exodus will live up to its name as we all go to .0 to hunt npc rats there and get ganked at the gates. Slowley over time everyone will lose their stuff give up and go and play everquest 2

If lvl4 are supposed to be done in groups we need to have the ability to do them as they are planned. At the current state it is acctually harder doing them in a group, because the risk of ending up 70km from each other or bumping your teammate out of the deadspace entierly is just not acceptable! If you are set up for anti frig and cruiser and your m8 is set for BS killing, it is very deadly for him to end up 70km from you! so please fix the bumping, and fix the gang warp! Oh, and if you want people to end up at the beacon, please make it so this happens all the time, not alf the time, or to half your team!!

Edit: And if this sounds a bit like whining, well it is whining. But it needs fixing. If there is ANYTHING I can do to help, testing etc. Let me know. I will be more then happy to help if I know this is helping you guys get this fixed asap!

Thats just 3 points that we are all *****ing about. Now dont get me wrong I like a challenge (I hunt in 0.0 with a carcal for fun and thats pretty challenging) but they haves and we donts are not the way to make things challenging. I have not really done many mission recently and have gone back to haunting deep space looking for a spawn that I can kill and gives me cruiser loot in cruiser amounts for killing cruiser rats.
And best of all ??

CCP seriously needs to rethink this.
Its totally unacceptable for ppl to work so hard to complete one of these missions with all these factors and bugs against them and then find that the loot sucks. It just not an enjoyable game experience.
I took on 2 ravens and 9 cruisers and 4 warp scrambling frigs on a mission last night and barely survived.
In the end I didnt get any good loot at all.
The Lvl 4 mission npc are by far the hardest thing ive ever seen. I can solo 3(2x750k and 1 x5mil) bs spawns in 0.0 with 6 cruisers and 4 warp scrambling frigs without breaking my tank on my raven. But lvl 4 missions are just something else.
CCP may say that lvl 4 missions are for groups but the fact is the first person to warp in is the one thats attacked and to survive this kind of onslaught at close range is impossible.
Even if you have someone transfer shields/armor from an apoc to your bs the odds are that 1 of you will be bumped 100's of km by the warp in bug and your dead.

I have 9.7 standings but I just quit doing missions cos they're fiddly, boring and the risk outweighs the rewards. When they're fixed I'll give em another try. If they're not, I won't. It's that simple.

I think most people, not all maybe would like deadspace missions when (if?) following things were reconsidered, this is just the stuff i have collected from various threads:
MWD's usable for players, this seems to be the biggest cause of the 'timesink'?.
Only some special named NPC's would mwd (not all, not sure if they currently do on lvl3/4)
Gang warp fixed.
Warp in- beacon moved futher, so the first person dont get all the luvin' and damage, simply not fair.
LVL3/4 mission difficulty adjusted, but still keeping them challenging. The mission designers should do a test run on the current missions, and really see how hard they are.. they'd be suprised for sure.
Loot fixed in general, normal thugs average loot and some occasional good stuff, named rats better loot. High bounty rats, high-end loot. Some structures should drop cans (outposts for example).
Better mission description, some warnings so you dont have to warp in blind, make it even cost few ISK's to "scan" the deadspace area with long-range scanners from the station, it dont have to be 100% accurate.
Increased Mission Rewards / Bonuses for LVL3/4 to cover the costs, make missions worth the risk.
I think thats it basically, but yeah.. im still doing LVL2 missions so i dont much say in this matter, but i do hope they sort these things out for you other players :p, so, my vote is keep deadspace missions but redesign them.

They are frigate sized, the reason they are 30k rats is because they are the interceptor varient.
This is how fleet battles work in eve. I for one would like all the frigs in lvl3's and above to actually have a reason for being there - not just a junk loot drop, and a pants bounty I get from one shot.
The inty rats make the mission harder - yes, but more of a challange that CCP just chucking 50 random rats at us.
Where are the jamming rat frigates? Where are the assault frigates in these missions?

Deadspace missions are a nerf to all mission runners out there. The amount of time a typical DS mission takes vs a non DS mission is simply unacceptable...even more so when considering the garbage you receive as a reward.
Who the hell wants to putter along at 120-220m/s for 120km or more to get that one loot can you need to complete the mission? This timesink is simply dull, boring, and tedious plus it makes the game less enjoyable to play.

I cancelled my account last evening and it's now on the "pending cancellation" until 3rd Jan. The main reason was because I simply hate doing level 3 missions now and this is my chosen source of income. If these are not changed drastically by the time my suscription runs out (which I doubt they will be) then I'm outta here.
I have stomached the other nerfs which have occurred over the last few months, but agent missions are the final straw. They are as much fun as poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. |

A challenge is what many people in EVE wanted, now they have one and they start complaining that they are too hard, nope your just using the wrong tactics, i sure did and got wasted for my lack of preparation and knowledge of deadspace. We live and learn, be thankful rats dont pod :P Oh yeah and i lost 4 scout 125's and 4 proto 125's in that encounter. But im happy :D
The only quirk about DS is modify the loot tables, as someone stated, if they hardly ever drop loot, make it good loot. not basic ****.
