I've heard something about he was ****ed because Dime and Vinnie Paul (Dime's half-brother and former drummer with Pantera) left Pantera. I don't know if that is the reason, but it it's true I can't think of a more stupid reason to take a life.

I own all of Pantera's CD. Vulger Display of Power still gets cranked in the car from time to time. I was looking forward to seeing Damageplan carry on the spirit, if not the name of Pantera.

It's sad that a sick little worthless piece of **** can go and buy a gun and just shoot down people like that. As for the guy that said guns dont kill, people do... well if that sad little ******* couldn't get a gun, I doubt that he would muster enough courage and try to attack with a knife.
Gun is the weapon for chicken-**** gutless cowards, if he was a man and felt that he had an issue (however insane that was) he'd start a fight at a bar.

My band was at a bar in Chicago wednesday night waiting to go on and some chicks came up to me and took off my jacket so they could admire my ancient Pantera shirt that is about 10 years old. It was a CFH original and I had been wearing it for 3 days cuz I'm a smelly bastich. We then got in a long discussion about Pantera and at the exact time this conversation was taking place Dimebag & misc. were getting shot up 600 miles away. That is so, so screwed up.
As a musician I am suppossed to have all sorts of appreciation for music and a variety of musicians but alas I don't. There is very little musical talent in this current day and age I appreciate and 1 by 1 it's all heading 6 feet under.
Very sad this situation and I wonder how many more people the military are going to deam 'disfunctional' and release back into our society after they've recieved their murder training. The list gets longer and longer every year.

When I go to the store to buy candy they do not make me display to them my Candy ID which is tied to the National Candy Database which displays my current status of whether or not I am allowed to buy candy or not.
After that process is over, they do not make me wait 3 full days to recieve my candy.
They do not limit me to buying 1 piece of candy per month.
They do not keep a database which shows what candy I own, when I bought it, and every other relevant candy information.
That piece of **** was a disfunctional individual who the government trained to be a death dealer and then decided he was crazy so instead of putting his ass in a gigantic slingshot and flinging him to the deep ocean, they put him on the streets and cross their fingers hoping he doesn't do anything 'funny'.
Guns are not easy to obtain and even if they were, good. You don't ban cars to keep drunk drivers disarmed. You don't ban swimming pools to prevent drownings.
You have to be 18 to buy elmers glue at Walmart because of simpletons like that wanna take the easy route quick fix.

Just thought I take back what I said about Darrells brother. The news channel that reported it was wrong. Got word that Vinni was alive and well. Seems a lot of confusion is going on about what the press should be reporting. Im just glad it wasn't both brothers who were killed. Also wanted to point out the fact that the day of the shooting was the same as "John Lennon's" shooting also. So that seems to be the motive behind this crazed fan. Agreed, although i'm not 16 and mad at my dad anymore, i still put 'Vulgar Display of Power' on from time to time and jump up and down like a sad old man to 'Walk' and 'This Love', trying to remember my days of long hair and under-cuts in 1992.
