it seems that either the devs dont want to restrict the modules bonus to ONE class or that the code doesnt allow it... for whatever reason...
this means that my initial idea would NOT work since it invovled different bonus/penalty for different ship classes out of the same module...
so it would NOT work that eg. the 10mn ab would give a frig + 5 000 000 kg mass while it would NOT give the cruiser a mass bonus...
but out of my view:
normal sized AB: best agility, worst speed oversized AB: worst agility, good speed mwd: medium agility, best speed (+ current penalties)
to achieve that I would suggest the following changes:
so the mwd would look like the following: 1mn mwd: + 1 000 000 kg mass, 2 000 000 N thrust 10mn mwd: + 10 000 000 kg mass, 20 000 000 N thrust 100mn mwd: +100 000 000 kg mass, 200 000 000 N thrust
btw YES missiles (raven) will PWN for the time being... but this just confirms that we see a missile change even sooner. but none the less it should NOT prevent the devs from doing this propulsion change at all... cuz I'm really bored of the current (TQ) propulsion system... (mwd whoring)

Well, good thing about this change would be...
up to now people were able to more or less live with too high sig penalty on the mwd, the inferior survability of cruisers and the 'one size pwns all' missiles thanks to the speed module stacking and performance of the oversized ABs. With this option now removed, CCP is left with no choice but to finally address these issues in some reasonable manner... if only because the amount of daily "omg all devs must be playing Caldari Raven pilots!!" threads is likely to skyrocket and finally reach the critical mass... >>;;
Transformation period before all pieces of reworked mechanics fall together in their place is going to suck, but hopefully it'll result in more interesting game in the end. ..;

Hmm so because you are bored of the current system anyone who is not a raven pilot can pay the next 2 month but not bother to play cause it will be rather impossible to beat a raven with anything but another raven or in ganks ? Plus all ppl who trained up for bc and assaultcruisers can just go in a very long xmas break ?
Sounds reasonable to me.... P.S. Soon (tm) is also the projectile patch coming. something overdue for like 3 ? month, figure how long missles will take.

on topic-related sidenote... it seems like the inertia stabilizers work now \o/ there's noticeable difference in acceleration/deceleration of the Kestrel with two of them fitted... and the ship was able to move quite a bit faster with MWD on in 2 k orbit (1050 m/sec on average without stabilizers, 1150 or so with the modules fitted)

yes thats why it actually never happens and you get stuck with only a 300-400$ speedboost. My maller with oversized ab just did 625 m/s after all my cap was cycled through from the ab, so prolly 3-4 runs. Forget to fly anywhere bar straight as thats impossible, its like a very slow bullet flying just in 1 direction no way to change course....

So what the effects on BS's what kind of speeds are we talking about on lets say Megathrong and Tempest? This sort of radical changes ie Propulsion and Missle tweaking should be communicated to us by a Dev like it used to be.
Keep doing these great posts though because I dont have time or willingness to spend time on the test server but you gotta wonder why we arent informed of the next huge balance swing
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.
