Im currently doing the above mission from Wuompelen Nosara in Arkio II, http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Drone_Detritus
I just cant seem to beat this mission, every time i get ganged up on by the drones, i try and launch a missile at one and they all come en masse towards me and fry me up good. Im currently using a {Caldari} Kestrel with four Malkuth standard missile launcher I and a heat disspation field I.Even with the field active i still get cooked up quickly.What am i doing wrong?Any tips or strategies?

1 use sabretooth missiles.
2 try switching the heat dissapation field for an invulnerability field.
3 find and object and orbit at 15,000 pulsing your afterburner if they get too close/ the damage starts rising.
I haven't flow LVL1s in a while but when i started i was using a fit simmilar to this (cap recharger instead of the invun)

Requires weapon upgrades V if you don't have that you can probably drop the invun for a web, or the ballistic control for a damage control.

Hey!
I did that mission about 20 times with a Kestrel. What I did is just circle around the upper drone hive at 27 km (the range of my missiles) with my Afterburner on (700-800 m/s). Hardly anything can hit you then while you take them out 1 by 1.
Next to that you can fit a small shield booster if you need to repair your shields a bit.
Of course I trained a few navigation and cap skills to be cap stable with afterburner on and a few missile range skills to increase missile range.
My fit was sometehing like:
high
4 x Malkuth missile launcher
mid
1 x Cold-Gas AB
1 x Small Shield Booster II
1 x Small Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I (with booster 75)
low
1 x power diagnostic system
1 x Micro Auxiliary Power Core I

Natalie so did you orbit the drone hive at 27km? I'm quite new to Eve so how do you circle at 27km? : ) thanks so much for replying, oh btw what missle upgrades did you train in order to get the 27 km distance.
