I've been trying to figure out how to configure my Thorax to deal well with both NPC and PvP fighting. Given the 675mw powergrid, there's going to be a lot of shoehorning, but with a bay full of WASPs and a good loadout, I think the thorax can be a nasty ship.
Anybody feel like posting a nice setup for the thorax?

i'm not sure what kind of guns you want to use, but you can't go wrong with a few power diagnostic systems.

3 x Reactor Control Units and 2 x Power Diags in the low slots = somewhere closer to 1150 Powergrid.
2 x Cold Gas Arcjets and 1 x Medium Shield booster in med slots.
3 x 250 Compressed Coils, 1 x 150 Prototype Siege Cannon, 1 x 280mm Arty in the high slots. Load up on EMP and AM ammo.
With a good range of Gunnery/Engineering/Electronics skills you have a decent platform to start dealing death from 40K range, by the time anything comes into range of the 150 Prototype they are more or less dead anyway. You may want to outfit a Smartbomb instead to take care of missiles etc.
The 280 Arty is a surprisingly good weapon for its size and power usage and you may want to equip 2 of these instead of the prototype 150.
Others will have their favourite loadouts for NPC hunting no doubt.

From my experinces I have found that 3 dual 425mm scouts and 2 200mm scouts for weapons, a rare medium shield booster and mwd in med slot, and a RCU + Photonic cpu enhancer and 3 stabilzed weapon mounts or hydrolicstablizers does the trick. No cap use from the weapons saves the cap for sheild booster or the mwd if you need to make a quick escape. I have only used this on npc priates, but i think it would still be pretty effective against PvP.

3 250 MM gauss, 2 150 MM gauss, shieldbooster, braced multispectral shield matrix, warpscambler/cap recharger/shield recharger/LiF AB/Quad LiF MWD (whatever), 4 p-diag, 1 magnetic. Can replace 1 p-diag with a RCU 1 and another with photonic co-cpu if you¦re short in skill lvls. Then ofcourse the wasp drones ^^. Works well :)

Here is my setup, this is from a non-power player point of view (well, I want to be a power player, I'm just not very good at it :)
2 250mm Compressed Coil Guns
1 Anode Ion Particle Cannon
1 Responsive Auto Targetting System
1 Medium Converse Defelction Catalyzer
1 YS-8 Hydrocarbon Afterburner
1 Passive Barrier Compensator
2 Reactor Control Units
1 Basic Nanofiber Internal Structure
2 Basic Overdrive Injector Systems
That works well for me, I just need some drones and better versions of what I already have. There are some tweaks I want to do still, like getting rid of one reactor control unit and one overdrive injector and replacing them with magnometrics, but i have some more skill training to do yet.

1 Cold gas after burner
1 Non-inertial shield barrier
5 Reactor control 1
8 Wasp 1 Heavy drones
