I tend to collect quite a few calculations in an outside spreadsheet that I have to ALT-TAB to use. I would rather use a simple internal app than leaving the client.
Ideally, it would also allow hooks into the current market to automagically populate calulations.

yeeeess, that would be handy. It would be helpful if you could export the sheet as a transferable ingame item - useful sheets could have market value possibly...

This would be a great thing to have, it is really annoying to have to alt tab out, especially with 2 or 3 clients running. Great suggestion!

It's great.
It autosaves. Not that gaming machines ever crash.
It turns out that the main convenience for me is cross-screen/platform. I can update my spreadsheets with my desktop or my laptop and always have the latest version available on both platforms. At the same time. , you could modify cell A1 in your IGB, cell B2 in your spreadsheet in your browser on the second monitor and cell C3 on your laptop and the changes would be synced. Nor does it matter about Mac or PC or iPhone or iPad. You could even keep the spreadsheet in the IGB for quick lookup and data entry and in your ALT-Tab browser for extensive editing.
Especially since CCP is using Chrome from Google, I do not see how they could ever justify spending enough resources to even come close to Google Doc. They might be able to license some portion of the Google Doc code to go along with the Chrome rendering code.

True, didn't think of that. And, with google docs, you can share spreadsheets with your corp, so 3 of you can be on Skype talking, while you are all working with the same spreadsheet. Makes it kinda fun :)
