Ladies and Gentlemen of EVE, it is with great pleasure tonight that I present to you the results of the Pandemic LegionÆs largest contract to date.
Two months ago, if someone had told me that I would be sending this report as my ship sat safely outside of the station in KFIE taking on suppliesà well, I doubt anyone would have believed it. The fact is that we never expected to be in the position we are today. In my eyes, it really came down to a question of will. We were relentless in our task of seeing this contract through. Our targets really left us no other choice.
It started out simple enough û weÆd give NC a hand here and there, maybe do a few Empire war decs and hope that somehow our client would be on the winning side. In the beginning, that was most certainly not a foregone conclusion. Then our priorities changed. ItÆs one thing to fight a war as a paid soldier, but when the war comes to your front door it changes your perceptions.
We knew that the possibility of PLÆs home space being attacked existed, but the reality of it actually happening awoke something inside my alliance that is hard to describe. I am, of course, referring to the attack upon our Geminate Pos and the loss of 4 triage carriers. It awoke a sense of purpose and a terrible anger. Far from being a æwarning to stay out of itÆ, the Southern CoalitionsÆs actions against us only lit the fires of vengeance in the eyes of PL pilots.
In less than a day, our priorities shifted. I informed our client that we would not be just ætagging alongÆ. IÆm not sure what Vuk and the rest expected because, to be honest, we made most of it up as we went along. Like any smart client, NC cut us loose and waited to see what would kind of return their investment would yield.
Our success is attributable to several factors, foremost in them being that the pilots of the PL believe in what we are doing in EVE. When we invaded KFIE there were no guarantees û it was us against the South and we never blinked, not once. Our commanders, our logistic teams and our pilots are simply amazing and I take my hat off to each and every one of them.
Above all else, we owe a large part our success to the corps and alliances who saw what we were doing and willingly rallied to our banner. People IÆd never worked with or even spoken to put themselves fully under PL command. They put their own disputes aside and held up the æAllianceÆ flag.
They shared the risks, the defeats (there were a few) and the victories. You need not ask who they are as most of them are now prominently displayed on Joshua and PaladinÆs maps.
Victory Defined
In the last 55 days of combat operations, the PL sustained an 76.5% efficiency ratio with regard to ships. We speak not of our allies in the campaign, simply of ourselves.
Titans: 2 killed / 0 lost
Super-Carriers: 7 / 0
Carrier: 93 / 8
Dreadnought: 24 / 12
Battleship: 843 / 241
Battlecruiser: 551 / 84
Heavy Assault: 283 / 118
Strategic Cruiser: 29 / 8
Scrubships: 3118 / 1136
Motherships in Build: 2 killed / 0 lost
In 50 days the PL-led invasion of the South resulted in the takeover of 28 enemy POSSES and 2 CSAAS.
As a follow up to the above report, I am also proud to announce that a corporation we have flown with for several months and who has proven themselves time and time again are now full members of the Pandemic Legion. We welcome our German brothers in Elitist Ops [SERA] and honor them with the long awaited Joker card.

Well after spending more then few long Icelandic nights with Seleene I realised I need new merc entity, stronger then MC was ever before. After Shadoo went for a RL break cause of translation of new Harry Potter book on Finnish and Hebrew, I thought my dream will never be fullfiled.
But them miracle happened, and Shamis added me as friend on facebook. Soonish circlejerk was completed after Jogyn and Fintroll added me as neighbours in Farmville, and in Mafia wars.
Anyway after few stickam sessions we agreed on the business model we will use from now on.
Rest is history.
P.S. At least when PL fail in AT8 they can blame lack of FCs cause they were alone waging a war south all the time.

Can we agree this was strictly a business relationship that could be cancelled at anytime yet still be really butt-hurt when PL form Tortuga Reloaded and invade the NC cos our trust has been 'brutally violated' and we've been 'backstabbed' somehow?

Ive heard about pirates who take on the merc trade, and then doesn't stick to the task given. You get what you pay for, and paying s****pirates will usually backfire.
However it seems in this particular case, it came to the advantage of the paying costumer.

When we took this contract on we were afraid that we had bitten off more than we could chew. Fortunately our pilots rallied around us. As Jogyn said, our pilots believed in what we were doing, and i think that was reflected in the way we handled ourselves on this contract.
Hopefully on our next contract we can operate as successfully as we did on this one, and the steel fist of our passage will resonate through the pages of eve's history
