I did the count for this evening, 129 active wormhole systems = 5% chance, in other words - probe 20 wormholes during peak time and expect to get a player on your directional scanner once, nobody with sense is looking - and at those odds I am not surprised.
If you think living in losec = instant gratification then LOL. Wormhole ratters are getting a free pass from the rest of the playerbase at the moment.

CCP - you have three options - pick one;
1. Make wormhole signatures appear like cosmic anomaly signatures, ie. they appear immediately as soon as you drop one probe.
2. Reduce the number of wormhole systems to 250.
3. Spawn sleeper plexes in losec.
Man, oh, man; you just can't fix stupid.
The idea of wormholes was to provide compelling enough PVE content in a safe enough environment that there would actually BE targets, balanced with things like nonfunctional local, so that people who PUT IN THE EFFORT could get ganks.
I've been ganked in wormholes, and I've likewise ganked folks in wormholes, it seems balanced to me. Just because YOU find it too hard doesn't mean you should run around screaming for an i-win button. If you can't scan down every wormhole in a w-space system in a matter of minutes anyway, you need a new prober.
You're making WH gankers look like carebears. Stop it.

Of course, it's impossible that he might have alts or anything. That would just be stupid.

Nice kills
Are you getting specific intel on a worm resident corp and then going to find them or probing random wormholes ?
Just wondering.
Maybe I should try the specific intel route.

I just probe WHs at random. Lots of them. Probe a WH, jump in, scan, drop ship probe if no ships on scan, move on if no targets. If there is a ship on scan/probe, find where it is. If it's at a POS, get intel on the corp and find out when they're most active. If I find a juicy-looking target, say a T3 at a POS whose carebear pilot has an interesting contract history, I might stay and wait. Or I'll move on.
Yes, it's hard work doing all that probing. Often there's a cloaked scout on the WH, and targets just POS up - or move cloaked recons around their bait Drake. But the rewards justify the effort. Those wormspace pinatas will return to highsec if WHs appear on overview.
