That's what makes this whole thing so funny, Chebri wasn't the spy. The internal politics of the alliance were kinda confusing, I'm still working mostly blind in that area, but I'm pretty sure that my spy had nothing to do with Chebri or any of the Chebri clique. We simply noticed the tension and did our best to stir things up so you'd go on a kicking spree against the first obvious target. You took the bait, sparking this entire drama and providing me with a good weeks worth of entertainment.
Even with the truth slapping him about the head and shoulders, DawnTreader still refuses to accept it.
DawnTreader is the only one to blame for the heist because he failed to understand corporate roles and security measures. No pilot should be a CEO or Director in a corporation until they know these roles inside and out. Why? Duh. Players like Dian'h Might know how to take advantage of corporations with security structure errors.
There is no one to blame but the CEO when a corp theft takes place. DawnTreader, so he says, had everyone set to Config Starbase Equipment because he didn't know he could set the POS Control Tower to trickle down Corporate Roles. That is just plain lazy.
Once I realized that DawnTreader had no interest in understanding how these roles worked, I decided to get the heck out.
In March of last year I was in the corp Knights of Kador and the CEO did the same stupid thing. He hired Broody Viper and immediately made him a director. The CEO had left the corporate shares in the corporate wallet instead of transferring them to himself. The thief (Broody Viper) took the shares, voted himself as CEO and emptied the corporate hangars and wallet. (Yes I have screen shots of the wallet transaction.)
I lost a Domination Control Tower that was stored in the corporate hangar. I left Knights of Kador fast. I returned to the corp a bit later thinking perhaps the CEO had learned his lesson but he had not. Done. I will not be in a player corp where the CEO fails to understand the importance of corporate roles and security measures.
DawnTreader's lack of understanding of these roles is further demonstrated in his accusation declaring me as the thief. Somehow the man believes I could magically open corporate anything during my 24-hour stasis between role resignation and corp resignation. For the love of gawd, someone please buy that man an Cybernetic Subprocessor.
So, from my perspective DawnTreader is the only pilot to blame for the theft. Dian'h Might saw an opportunity and took it. Corp thieves do that. It is harsh but it is part of EVE. I saw the security hole and notified the CEO yet he did nothing about it. That is pure CEO failure.
From my perspective DawnTreader is the only pilot to blame for the drama nonsense that took place after the theft. He wasn't interested in facts. He wanted to blame everyone but himself. Whenever anyone tried to discuss the issue with him he resorted to insults. That is extremely immature. Since reasonable conversation was beyond DawnTreader's grasp I blocked him.
The only reason I went on this adventure to begin with (the whole living out of a wormhole idea) is because my buddy Mud Dawg wanted to try it. I figured if DERP was part of INDY then they couldn't be all that bad. My only error was joining DERP to begin with.
By the way, I didn't find it funny at all that I was blamed for the theft. It is not something I would do.
