Eternal Perseverance is hands down the best pirate corp in Eve right now. Try hitting them up.

Do give Meatsausage Express and its constituent corps a look. They are based in the Decon system of Sinq Laison.
They provided some of the best battles of my anti-pirate experience. And from conversations with individuals, I gather they are a supportive, close-knit group of friends.
If I were a pirate, these folks would be high on my list.
That said, there are many other pirate corps in that area. You might like to contact Lady Spank for some advice. She's a fair-minded person, knows more about the particulars than I do, and will not lead you astray.
