There should be a ship or atleast a mod that supports gas mining. There are lots for regular mining and ice mining but nothing for gas mining.

I agree, i to am a gas miner and would like to see a ship but if not a ship then yes a mod of some sort. the only thing i had found was a single implant that wasn't even worth buying cause it would take you 40 days about 8 hours a day to make the money back and actually make profit.
so some sort of gas mining upgrade mod or a ship would be amazing.

The problem is that gas mining is a very small part of eve that many people don't more people don't exploit. Tons of money in it doing reactions in a wormhole.
a dedicated gas mining ship would be awesome

It would be in the shape of a Hulk, but it would have three spheres for holding the gas. The spheres would protrude above and below the main axis of the ship.
A modified Orca could be constructed that would be designed for hauling gas.
Lots of nice things could be done with that idea.
The gas could be piped to a third ship that would process the gas and turn it into ammo for a new class of weapons based on plasma projectors.
1. we have an incentive for more gas mining
2. we have new models of mining ships
3. we have a new range of weapons
4. we have new models of combat ships that can use plasma weapons
5. we expand EVE's ecosphere of exotic ships that are a natural result of what the game mechanics allows for.
With additional training / with additional costs involved / with additional risk involved.
It's a win-win for the entire EVE environment.
For good to survive it suffices for evil to acquire a deadly, incapacitating disease. |

lol start small lol lets get a gas mining dedicated ship first lol but i love the +1 replys thanks for the support. we really need one. for it may be a small part of eve, gas mining, but it is infact a part of eve that is pourly supported. (no offence lovely people who provide us ships) :D

Maybe this could be some form of T3 industrial or exhumer? Then it can include subsystem support for all of the mining folks along with visual nicety...
I really like the idea giant gas containers visually btw, on death do you think they should detonate (big boom if full)?

Id like to also see some sort of cruiser class gas harvester. There is no rason why smaller ships with scanners be able to find gas pockets within space and go there to mine.
And there could be those ships equivalent to retriever size, however, id say for the orca, id just put a subsystem for gas mining. No reason to make a ship that size for it only.

yes it is thats what i was trying to say Vincardi there is a ship for everything except gas.

Adding of special gas minning ship (desnt matter if it will be t2 variant of existing/new t1 ship or new t1 ship with interesing t2 variant) will be very nice, and need to say, it fs needed. Using f suplemental ships is not ideal (they are to costly or have low cargo space).
